Nashville has 585 daily flights. Atlanta has 2,500. That says volumes. Don't get me wrong, 585 is impressive and sounds like a lot, but the ease of getting open flights to and from Nashville pales in comparison to Atlanta.

The crime rate per 100,000 people are almost identical.

That said, I have heard Nashville is a very nice city.
