How many Alabama QBs have legitimately busted? Over the last 30 years, we've had the following QBs drafted into the NFL:
Jay Barker - 5th round in 1995
Brodie Croyle - 3rd round in 2006
Greg McElroy - 7th round in 2011
AJ McCarron - 5th round in 2014
Tua Tagovailoa - 1st round in 2020
Jalen Hurts - 2nd round in 2020
Mac Jones - 1st round in 2021
Jay Barker and Greg McElroy were never highly regarded as QBs. AJ McCarron and Brodie Croyle had plenty of detractors, the same is true for Jalen Hurts. Only Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones were ever regarded as future first round talents while they played at Alabama. Both of them are currently starting in the NFL with one of them making the Pro Bowl in their rookie season.
