Colt McCoy wouldn’t have made a difference

This is silly. Colt left CFB with the most wins of any QB at any level of college football and the most accurate season in the history of college football. He had won every bowl game he had ever played previously, including the Fiesta Bowl the year before where he led a last minute drive to beat the Big 10 champ, Ohio State. Garrett Gilbert, his replacement, threw 4 INTs. Colt was highly accurate. You aren't open to the idea that Texas could have won that game?

He literally took one hit and made a business decision to sit out the rest of the game. What makes you think he would've risked his NFL future with some gritty performance if he'd stayed in?

Colt wouldn't have stopped the Texas defense from getting shredded on the ground that night either, sorry.

He got hurt because your O-Line couldn't block. Your backup threw so many interceptions because he was constantly under pressure.

Texas got it's arse whipped at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. So bad that Mack Brown straight up lost his mind and didn't know what kind of football he wanted to play anymore.

Texas still hasn't recovered from the arse whipping. Destroyed your program.
