I can see Florida State. I don't see Miami getting an invite. Cultural fit matters to the SEC - it wasn't that long ago that they declined a petition from WVU, based on nothing other than the game day experience in Morgantown. I don't see the league liking game day in Miami any better.

Plus, there is only one urban school in the SEC - Vandy. I don't think that's a coincidence.

If cultural fit mattered then Missouri wouldn’t have been invited.

Austin, TX is very urban. At least as big as Nashville and the fastest growing big city in the country.

No it doesn't. The Longhorns are the worst possible cultural fit, with Missouri not far behind.

It is all about money. The SEC will take the schools that make them the most money. End of story.

BTW, Sankey would crawl over glass to get Notre Dame to join if they were interested. Dont kid yourselves.
