No, I have zero problem with scholarship athletes earning money via NIL (I was one back in the day and it would have been handy for sure). I do think the level to which certain schools are spending it and how they are spending it will come back to bite them in the arse sooner rather than later. From people I trust, Mitchell is getting $50K a month plus an Escalade his first year in Austin.
Same sources are telling me Arch got $10 million, plus another $5 million if he stays all 4 years. I'm also hearing that Arch isn't getting any NIL via Texas; all his NIL is being negotiated directly by the family and Texas has nothing to do with it. So take it all with a grain of salt because I'm not sure true numbers will ever be known.
