The SEC is top heavy, teams 3-14 are good-average-terrible

Those 3-14 teams have also won NC in football in the last 20 years.

The SEC is top heavy, but deeper than you think

quote:

OU at the least will be in top tier every season.

Not even Alabama can say that, and they are the all-time best program.

The SEC has 6 of the top 18 programs in wins:

Alabama
Tennessee
Georgia
Auburn
LSU
Florida

all have won NC since 1998 (Tennessee), half have won multiple NC.

Last ten years in bowls for the major conferences (2010-2019)

SEC ACC Big Ten Big 12 Pac 10/12
2010 5-5 4-5 3-5 3-5 2-2
2011 6-3 2-6 4-6 6-2 2-5
2012 6-3 4-2 2-5 4-5 4-4
2013 7-3 5-6 2-5 3-3 6-3
2014 7-5 4-7 6-5 2-5 6-3
2015 9-2 4-6 5-5 3-4 6-4
2016 6-7 9-3 3-7 4-2 3-3
2017 5-6 4-6 7-1 5-3 1-8
2018 6-6 6-5 5-4 4-3 3-4
2019 8-2 4-7 4-5 1-5 4-3
Total 65-42 46-53 41-48 35-37 37-39
Win % 60.75% 46.46% 46.07% 48.61% 48.78

The rest of the SEC will take OU's head off if they are not careful. Think of it like this, OU plays Texas, then Oklahoma State, then Kansas, and then Oklahoma State again. That is what an SEC schedule is like.

To think OU will finish every season in the top half is foolish in the extreme
