I do sympathize with you, Auburn. It's a shame, really.
Now, what is Auburn going to do when visitors come to Auburn for a game and have to stay in Montgomery or Columbus or dare say, as far away as Atlanta (which the USC Trojans football team had to do when playing at Auburn in 2003 -- they still stomped you, though, 23-0!), in order to go to a game on the plains???
Don't complain about others till you fix what's wrong in your own backyard.

We already held a regional and didn't have any issues with accommodations.

Auburn has plenty of space. Did not hear any complaints over the past two decades of hosting regional tourneys… in regard to USC, it’s common place for football teams, even the home team, to stay out of the city prior to a game. Don’t be obtuse.
