I attended my first cocktail party as a child in 1959. This used to be such a special game and a special week. It was more like a bowl trip to the beach and people would go down days early to party on the Georgia beaches, play golf and tennis - there was the Gator Hater tournaments to attend - and socialize. Over the years getting to the game has gotten harder and harder. The prices to park in the reserved lots are astronomical - if you leave parking to chance you will usually find yourself a mile or more from the stadium in some very questionable neighborhoods. The stadium is now tired looking and the stadium staff surly and unhelpful. Concessions are slow as hell. The entry gates back up and there are very long crowded waits to get into the stadium. And after the game forget getting out without a major hassle and long wait. They make traffic go in certain directions whether or not that’s where you need to go. It’s not unusual to find yourself in less than desirable areas in the dark or directed thru downtown Jax. Last year the cops made the people in my parking lot go a certain way. You had no choice. After almost an hour of circling in heavy stop and go traffic we ended up back where we had started. Crazy! This game was once very special and I have so many good memories but if they can’t make Jax more fan friendly I’m for playing this game home and home. Jax is not fun anymore

This...in a nutshell. I concur with your feelings and experience over 50+ years of my going to/covering the game. Yet, my emotions on the game don't want to let the tradition die.
