This came from a guy who has sideline access as posted on BOL. It was also broadcast on CBS.

They won;t know shite until Dr. Andrews does an MRI. I hope it is a sprained MCL, he may be back for the LSU game.

They knew Charlie Weis has a torn ACL after half, if they can determine that by examining all that fat, I think they could know if they ACL is torn without Dr. Andrews.

I posted this earlier:
Preliminary evaluation.....
quote:
The preliminary evaluation of nose tackle Terrence Cody's right knee was positive and Saban thinks Cody will not need surgery.
"I would assume that he'll be out a couple of weeks," Saban said.
Cody will have a MRI to farther evaluate the damage, but Saban compared his injury to the MCL sprain suffered earlier this season by left tackle Andre Smith, who missed the Tulane game as a result.
Assuming this early news holds, that's obviously a huge sigh of relief for Alabama ... after an even larger sigh in winning another tight home game.
I am shocked if this holds true...it looked pretty bad to me. Of course, we need him NEXT week...so he'll be missed no matter the duration.

We were talking about the MCL. It is easy to confirm an ACL rupture by performing an Anterior Drawer exam on the patient, not so on the MCL.
A physical therapist would be able to diagnose an ACL rupture. The extent of the MCL injury will require an MRI.

I hate that. He is a good one. I hate to see anyone get hurt. It's just fun for us and we are fans but some of these guys have a great chance to make a living doing this and it sucks when they get hurt.

That was just a third down snack he keeps under his knee pad, not part of the injury.

he is like the kid on Little Giants that had a Peanut Butter Jelly sandwich in his helmet

If you're a regular size player, wide receiver, running back, MCL sprain easier to recover from unless your 380 lbs. Not so easy to put that much weight on a knee.
He is a good player who looks like he enjoys the game, hope he recovers quickly.

A sprained acl or mcl on a guy like that will take weeks to heal up. He's pretty much done for the year.
