People only made a big deal because who said it. If someone who seemed clean said it and didn't pick out certain schools then it would have been all about the NLI. The fact he called someone else a cheat is why everyone is ignoring the point. He is viewed as one of the dirtiest coaches and all any sees is it as him being a hypocrite and jealous.

He wasnt going to be able to say anything about it and not get criticized because he already came out in favor of it.
