As long as his eligibility wasn’t impacted it wouldn’t matter. He would not be forced to transfer from A&M, it would be his choice based on whatever the penalties were. And as there are plenty of players who get drafted not playing in a playoff or even for a major school there’s not really an argument that it would harm his NFL future.
