Wait what? I must've missed something. Something new come down the NIL pipeline? Why do folks think A&M is in the sights?

Because A&M had the #1 recruiting class.

Oh - and because a poster on an OU message board said that a&M spent $30 million on this class.

Oh - and because it's well known that dozens of schools (including A&M) have collectives - run by boosters - who are signing deals for their NIL rights. Many schools (not A&M) are even publicizing these collectives and these deals.




(You might wonder, "But if dozens of schools have organizations that are run by boosters and have such deals in place, then shouldn't all of them worry about NCAA penalties? Or more likely, none of them? But it's frowned upon to ask such questions here.)

Great question. Maybe it’s a coping mechanism of some sort.
