No, no it didn’t. It landed in the turf and rolled towards him, and he picked it up.
And even if it had gone in the dugout, throwing it back is such a pussy move for a coach and team that does all the ridiculous celebrating they do.

The bat most definitely enter the dugout and almost hit 3 Tennessee players. Guess it was ok for the bat to bounce off the screen of the dugout right? The coach is suppose to be ok with that right. Vitello wouldn’t have gotten mad at a simple bat flip, but a bat flip where the bat was thrown side ways and skidded across the turf and bounced off the front of dugout is excessive. It’s ok for Auburn to throw the bat at Tennessee but it’s not ok for Vitello to simply toss it back to them?
