I’m thinking i want a couple pots- maybe 42 quart and smaller one (20?) to mainly fry fish, boil shrimp, crawdads, potato, corn etc….

not that interested in turkey but i guess thst woukd be good option.

what size do you recommend to feed say 20 people? how many btu burner? what suze stand and should i get more than 1?

Trying to do this economical starting out, but interested in growing the kit as i progress,
so dont want to invest in something i wont use later.

what are the “must haves” ?

thanks!

The issue you're going to run in to is that for boiing crawfish (and preferably shrimp) you need a high pressure burner and for the other stuff you need a low pressure burner. To boil a sack of crawfish you really need at least an 80 quart pot while you can use a 35 quart pot for shrimp and turkey. As for fish you could really use anything but I've seen people use stuff like cast iron pots that have more width than they have height.

Honestly, I would just goto Academy or something and buy something that comes as an all in one so that you don't have to build it yourself then add on from there. Also, depending on how much you use it, get two propane tanks if you can. It's really a pain in the arse to only have one and then it goes out on you while you're cooking.

If you decide that you want to get the high pressure burner to boil crawfish, go to a hardware store and get them to put this regulator on your burner...
