Eh, none of us are Duke. Kentucky and Arkansas have elite traditions in basketball where they've, at certain periods, truly competed for national titles.
Most of us really have not. Therefore, conference accomplishments inherently mean a little more to us than the specific level of the tournament we advance to. Just kind of is what it is.

Bama isnt a blueblood ... Never will be , but people shouldnt act as if we have no basketball tradition. We re a program thats always been on the verge of taking that next step. Finally have an AD and enough influential people invested in the program.
