You do know that this was the sticking point as to why Smart wasn’t given the job after Chiz got fired. I still remember the breaking news that he was Auburns guy and I recall coach Dye going on Finebaum excited at the idea of him being the next coach. Instead we got hash brown Gus and Smart went and turned UGA into a juggernaut.

Yes, but I have a feeling he would have bolted for Uga when it came open. Would have been at Auburn for only like 2 years maybe.
