Of those, only the SEC title would matter much. Even then I'm not sure. Had Dan beaten Alabama last year in the SECCG instead of losing by 3 I don't think it would have saved him.

If Dans 4 years were 8-5, 13-2 (SEC Champ/CFP game winner), 11-3 and 12-2.

He’d still be your coach. I can’t believe you want to argue this.

If he had won important games the Gators would have decided that his stupid antics were funny and SO charming. After all they tolerated a guy who was responsible for over 100 NCAA violations - even giving him a Cadillac as a going away gift when it became to embarrassing to keep him, another a arrogant smart mouthed narcissist, another coach who had so little control over his team’s character and discipline that it produced 2 murderers, a yellow toothed guy who obviously didn’t own a toothbrush who claimed that he had death threats when his seat got hot, and an insane clown whose antics drew national derision, but hey he had a very very affectionate wife. This new Gator guy won’t last 3 years unless he wins. If he should surprise us all and actually win a few games, the Gator crowd will love him no matter how crazy he is or how badly he behaves. It’s a Gator tradition.

Wait, so you're saying if he didn't have a 5-6 season this year he wouldn't have gotten canned? Fascinating.

But if he was 8-5, 13-2, 11-3 (like Kirby) and then 5-6 then yeah, he'd be gone. The previous run is basically just like Dan's first three years.
