What would you expect from a rivalry that had to cancel a series for 20 years dealing with fights in a stadium and issues with withholding tickets?

Texas and Ole Miss are most hated programs by Arkansas fans. Screw those clowns.

I could give two shits about Ole Miss. There is no rivalry with Ole Miss in my mind and I could give two shits about what their fans says. They’ve never been a threat in either of the major 3 sports, thus do not cross my mind in terms of rivalries.

So stop taking every little piece of bait thrown on the rant and start acting like a Hog poster or walk the damn plank.

Embarrassing….”Ole Miss is a rival” fricking kidding me….good lord man.

The close games don't lie.

Arkansas-Ole Miss series

As you can see the series was cancelled for 20 years until 1981. They didn't cancel just because but they did so as both were powerhouses that HATED each other. The series resumed after the hatred died down. While Ole Miss was bad after integration, they still gave Arkansas a conference title contender a lot of trouble during the 80s.

Arkansas and Ole Miss are similar programs that are historically pretty even. The games reflect it and both states border each other, both fans interact with each other all the time. Both fans for example had fights in parking lots and my experience has been terrible in Oxford. Anything from taunts to feeling like me and other relatives would as a group get jumped at anytime. They may not be of anything in all sports but they are still a threat to Arkansas and if you can't beat them then you have no chance of winning the West. Look at how important the loss to Arkansas was for the rest of the year.
