Seems more logical than seeing a team that is barely over .500 for the previous decade as an example of a "tough" team.

And actually, I just checked and they only had two good seasons in the ten years prior to that.
So yeah, if Michigan was considered a powerhouse in 1965 then Miami, Colorado and Nebraska should be considered "powerhouses" today.
