A&M is paving the way for how to do it. A new era is about to be ushered in with the first non-Saban/Smart #1 class. You haven’t seen anything yet. Wait for this time next year with USC and Miami going open season now that they have Riley and Cristobal. Texas won’t be far behind A&M either knowing that they’re on their way to the SEC and have to drop top dollar to compete.

It was Alabama vs. history entering National Signing Day, with the No. 1-ranked class, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, already decided following the Crimson Tide’s 325.95 points amassed during the Early Signing Period. The question was if it would it hold onto that positioning, the highest ranking ever generated.
Spoiler alert: it did.
The Tide went on to bring its record-breaking total to 327.91, along with a 95 player rating average, also a record.
I hope we can manage to hang on and compete in the new world of college football.
