That was SEC CG not a random bowl game though. He was never going to opt out of that.

Also I’m not sure if Metchie actually declares. He seemed to be looked at as a 2nd round pick at best even before the injury. Now with the injury there’s uncertainty regarding his future recovery of course. As well as him not being able to participate in any drills in the combine or pro day. Plus Bryce is coming back next year so it would make sense for him to rehab and return for one more year.
