Brett McMurphy is a decently credible source

And his primary source is the ag I referenced. Check the last line of his tweet.

You guys turn everything into a pissing contest, and now you can't deal. I don't think I've ever seen a more delusional fanbase in my life in any sport.

Oh frick off with your self-righteousness. Your fans would go scorched Earth if a “report” as shaky as this one was levied against your school.

Well, you are wrong and don't understand journalism.

Cry more. This thread in itself is a prime example of my point.

Most people would not give a frick about this. I don't give a shite that multiple people turned down Alabama back in 2007. And not just because we ended up with Saban. That's the way shite goes, if someone turns it down, on to the next guy.

But not LSU fans. Because as I said, you guys turn EVERYTHING into a pissing contest. You guys have bashed Jimbo and A&M for years. And now, after all that time, it's turned out that your AD not only wanted Jimbo, but you got turned down.

LSU fans who have banked everything on these stupid pissing contests can NOT handle the the thought of being rejected. Above all else, you guys will NEVER admit to any such things.

There are a few level headed LSU fans around here(not you), but for the most part everything I'm saying is 100% truth.
