Laughable

Barry is leaving Arkansas and good friend and established coach Sam Pittman to join a guy whose fixing to make the jump to the SEC at his first job.

This is a golden as y’all’s fans who said Sam Pittman was going to make the move to OU.

As an Arkansas fan, here's what I will say to both OU and UT:

Believe it or not you are both in for a rude awakening. Arkansas won back-to-back SWC titles just a couple of years before leaving the SWC. Arkansas consistently won 8-10 games in an 11 game regular season schedule.

First season in the SEC and first real SEC game (Bama) got blown out and had losing seasons the first 3 years before winning the West in 95. The last decade has been the worst in UA FB history thanks to a motorcycle wreck and an incompetent AD. However, appears the corner has been turned.

Arkansas has pretty much owned the BIG XII since leaving the SWC including 3-2 against Texas, 3-0 against aTm when aTm was still a Big XII member, beat K-State, TCU and Tech.

To think OU and UT are going to come into this conference and own any of the 7 current SEC West teams is a fantasy. Even if there is a realignment and Bama and Auburn go east, the week-in week-out schedule is far more brutal than Big XII competition.

Get ready for 8-9 wins in the regular season on a consistent basis (less for UT) with an occasional 10 wins thrown in.

Think about this:

Ole Miss is a founding member of the SEC and the 2021 season was their first 10 win regular season in their HISTORY. 89 seasons in the SEC and this is their first time to win 10 regular season games.
