This is the silliest crap imaginable. Because ..
Round one 12 teams
Round two 6 teams left to play
Round three 3 teams left to play
Who gets the bye? The number one team that then gets a two week rest to kick the hell out of number two or three that survives?
Why not end it there and award the Natty to the Bye team?
Four teams work and eight teams work. Everyone plays the same number of games to get to the final.

Idk where you pulled that quote from but it wasn’t me. I think 8 is the number. I don’t think teams should get byes in the playoff

Round one top four get byes. All sets up for 8 teams after that.
