If there is not a clear winner in spring that Freeze thinks can carry us forward, you need a one and done and McCall would have been ideal.
I read where he needed 31 credits to graduate and then the whole credit transfer issue is moot. 31 is not a lot for spring AND summer. Couldnt he still come in for fall? Its not like he doesnt have years of playing experience. And I believe Nick Marshall came in the fall correct?
I just hear people wanting Hoard or Vandagriff, but what have they done, heck Holden has at least been in the program for two years. Sure they were talented coming out of high school, then why arent they starting where they are or were? If our current ones dont work out, we need someone NOW as in right NOW, not potentially in a year of development.

I think Marshall did come halfway through the summer. But McCall would be a definite take, if you can get him in.
