Also interesting note, some NBA draft analysts for SI and Sporting News suggest he is only fringe draftabale + not guarantee to get combine invite

Wiley is a weird situation. I don't know that he can play his way into RD1 at the combine while being drafted isn't a guarantee. I do think he has a great shot of making a roster though, while NBA teams may not be looking to spend a RD1 pick on Wiley's skillset, I definitely think they are willing to spend a deep bench spot on him

I saw the tweet. I actually retweeted Wiley’s and it looks like his is still up.

Vickie complimented her son for his perseverance against the “distraction and noise” on a retweet from an NBA fan account that basically said it would be stupid for Wiley to slide past tbe first round based on his FIBA experience.

shite talker said the “distractions and noise” was because of her and that she was an embarrassment to Auburn.

Vickie called tbe dude a wannabe, said that Wiley has done more for the university than the shite-talker ever could do (judging by the profile, the shite talker did graduate from Auburn fwiw,) and said fans like him made the decision easier.
Not sure if the last part meant it made it easier for Wiley to leave or not.

Final edit: Vickie’s full quote
quote:

@Gtyndall it’s wannabes like you who make this decision so much easier. My son has done more for this University than you could ever dream of doing. If I were you I would keep my comments to myself or come from behind the screen and say them to my face.

I will never understand people who go on Twitter and post shite about players/families or beg recruits to go to their schools

Additionally, I will never understand parents who read their adult children's Twitter feed.

Idiocy.

I think the person sent the tweet directly to Vickie

Well that's an a-hole move.

Still, unless you have a critical need for social media when your child is a college athlete, its usually best to just not participate on social media or just do not engage.

If memory serves, Jake Holland's dad tried to wrestle with the pigs back in the day too. RESIST THE TEMPTATION.

^ This

Vickie just retweeted some article about Wiley's NBA Draft prospects with an encouraging message & some random dude decided to be an a-hole

However, Vickie's response was pretty weak so beatbammer does have a point in just ignoring it. Or at least be clever

Nationwide recruiting roundup but it says several players drew visits from Auburn coaches recently.

Is Bama favored for Kira Lewis?

Who is the one prospect that will see his stock soar in the weeks ahead the most? Kira Lewis has been tremendous this week. Reminds me some of Briante Weber. Tough as nail, elite speed and potential on defense. Florida State offered last night

Kira Lewis is arguably the fastest end line to end line player in the 2019 class. Tough with great length. Avery Johnson & Josh Pastner along with assistants from Auburn, Georgia & Iowa State on hand

Auburn Basketball will have $3million upgrades for Locker Room + Arena enhancements.

quote:

Auburn Arena, Auburn basketball’s home court, will be receiving a $3 million renovation, approved by the University’s Board of Trustees Friday morning.

The plans focus primarily on locker room enhancement, intending to add a new locker room entrance, locker room, lounge and team space for men’s basketball.

This was needed in a bad way. In the original construction of the arena, we made moves to cut costs on the locker room design. As a result, the locker room from inception was substandard
