I don't know what to think about this roster. If I had more faith in the new offensive line I could convince myself we will be good. The running game could be elite with a well coached line, and that will open up the passing game. I expect defense to be competent if not great under DJ.

I'm sure this will never happen, but they should go back to forcing kids to sit a year when transferring unless they move up from G5. That might slow the chaos down and put some agents out of business.

I think what we are seeing, with the Wild West one year deals, is that more and more teams will be bringing in experienced players instead of as many unproven high schoolers.

It’s going to be a series of revolving doors where teams change drastically from year to year.

These guys we got from USF? Most of them would be at a P4 school if they didn’t sign with Auburn. They may not have the stars, but they’ve got experience.

I can see a future where stars are replaced by number of games played. They’re battle tested and have been in weight training for at least a year, growing into college bodies. More easily a plug and play model.

Agreed unfortunately. They killed the game we loved.

They aren’t going to make kids sit anymore, the NCAA doesn’t want those legal issues. Besides Duke literally gave people a way forward with how they structured Meshahs deal. He wanted to leave but can’t.
