Knowing that last year was 24, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect around 21 or so.
aTm, bama, LSU, and georgia are all breaking in new QBs. Even with just moderate improvement you're only talking about like 1 more stop per game compared to last year.

How can most of you say we improve on defense this year? We lost our best defender in maybe the history of the program. No Jake Holland = OVER!

The problem with this is that by the time we play UGA and Bama, they will have already broken in the new qbs.

Under. The teams we played last year averaged 32.6 points a game and only UGA and Missouri scored more than their average on us. The teams on the schedule averaged 31.4 last year so that should be worth about a point. With most offenses expected to be taking at least a small step back then we should be under 22 PPG even if we stay the same. Especially if UGA and A&M aren't averaging around 40 a game.
If we improve, whether it could go below 20 depends partly on if we can keep the OOC teams below where we kept last year's. 24, 9, 10, 3, and 34(Bowl). KSU will be better than WSU and Samford scored 21 on Arky.

quote:Not sure about that. They lost a lot of players and their 1st string O looked pretty putrid versus the K State 2nd string D in their Spring game. At this point I would be a bit surprised if K State put up more than the 24 Wazzu put up last year.

18.5 I think Tre Williams, Moncrief and Lambert allow us to do things we couldn't in recent years.

I'm hoping for anything under 20. Not sure we have enough depth to go anything under 17ppg at this point though.
