It's not a good comparison. Ricardo Louis is physical and does not shy away form contact. The only similarities between them that I see are their respective speeds.

I know OMAC was considerably lighter than Ricardo, but I would say their playing styles are quite similar. I would not expect to see Ricardo out-muscle a defender, but instead try and slip by them via speed and quickness.

Melvin's frame seems more built for contact and physicality...which I like to see more in a WR, IDK about Gus though.

Not sure what you are talking about. He has never struck me as someone that is shy from contact. Louis has had same problem as Sammie. Dropping the easy ones & not doing a great job of running down the deep ball. Sammie got world's better at running the deep ball down last season but still struggled some with catching all the easy ones. I think Louis will be similar in that vein.

As for Ray the main problem has been we have been all ground the past 2 seasons with the occasional bomb to Sammie or 3rd down pass to either Davis or Duke. With JJ I expect us to spread it around more with Duke, Louis, Ray & Davis being the main targets.

He made some big plays. Just was not a big part of the offense.

Yup, he's only got 13 catches and 2 TD's, but he averages 22 ypc and both the TDs were for 50 yards.

I don't think you can really knock him for the lack of playing time so far when you look at his situation.
-2012: first year back at football in 5 years so he played ST. Probably a good thing considering LOLoeffler and the QB play that year.
-2013: might as well be the first year back at football after '12. New offense. Didn't pass much but when we did targeted the top 2, Sammie and Ricardo.
-2014: still not passing as much and add an elite too NFL guy to the mix in Duke.
