If Nick Marshall or JJ was running the "Wildcat" you honestly would not even know it. You would have zero fricking clue that we were in the wildcat formation without really paying attention (frick I wouldn't even notice because I don't look at OL #s). That is what drives me mad about when people compalin about the wildcat. They aren't complaining about the WILDCAT they are complaining about the personnel running the wildcat.


It is no different than bitching about Jake HOlland being in at MLB. I don't hear you bitching about a 4-2-5



Also, I am not the biggestfan of the wildcat or spread the way Gus runs it. Honestly, as far as spreads go, I want a more pass heavy A&M and Baylor type spread. I still recognize that Gus' offense works when executed properly and that the wildcat is a very effective formation as well


That being said, to say the wildcat is stupid indicates a very uninformed opinion. There was a reasonw hy the wildcat was all the rage for a few years. The problem is there are very very few QBs that are both athletic enough and smart enough to run it as both a passer and runner
