I have a question about summer practices

I know the coaches cant "technically coach" due to NCAA rules. However they do give set schedules and routines for players to practice on their own.
You hear about the QBs practicing with the receivers to "get their timing down".
But do they practice against the DBs with different coverage sets? I realize timing is important, and checking off to different receivers, but without real live coverage seems it would be severely lacking in simulating real game type experience.
Just curious, any insights woud be appreciated.

Yes, they go up against each other. Think 7v7 tournaments. That's basically how it is. And Oline and Dlinemen practice their foot and hand techniques.

Thanks jville. Fall is gonna be fun, some mistakes from young QBs but capable of some real fun.
