I just find it funny that people get so triggered about it.

Well some of us actually feel great respect and esteem for those who have performed and achieved for Auburn, be it sports, business, or otherwise. I met Apollo astronaut Ken Mattingly (RIP) while I was a student at Auburn and it was one of the most inspirational moments of my life.

(I also shook John Glenn’s hand after an Auburn basketball game in 1984 as he was on campus when running for the 1984 Democratic Presidential nomination. Glenn obviously wasn’t an Auburn alum but it happened on the Auburn campus so it was important to me.)

You, however, seem to be solely transactional when it comes to Auburn. And that’s the ANTI-definition of “fan”.

Sad.

Dear God, what a retarded take. Unreal. We wonder why Auburn flounders?

Are you real? Cam is our b st player ever. Ever! Show some fricking respect.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Yep, Cam is the best player we've ever had; no doubt. Still, nothing I said is untrue.

If you don't want anyone to wear his number again, then retire it, and that's fine. But do you really do that for a one and done? If you do, fine on that to, but either do it or let someone else wear it. And maybe someone with a statue outside the stadium should have his number retired.

If you're not retiring it, how long are you supposed to wait? Clearly, the next year is too soon. Wait until all of his teammates have finished playing? That seems fair. 5 years? 10 years? Until the player dies? Until all the fans who watched him have?

True enough, it's big shoes to fill, but if Deuce is willing to take that on, let him.

And no one has worn #2 since 2010, and what would you call the last 4 years if it's not floundering?
