It's damn near impossible to not peak too soon. I've gotten better as the years go on, but I have had my share of sloppy afternoons.

And I have grown accustomed to day drinking since I get off work pretty early. Nothing like a few beers right after work

Another plus for day drinking is the fact that it doesn't give you bitching hangover the next day. At least not to the degree that night drinking does. Unless you're day drinking turns into night drinking without a slowdown. Then it can be just as bad or worse.
