Ron Cooper - Fmr DC/Interim HC for FIU

LSU DB coach 2009-2011. Remember those DBs?

Forgot all about that dude. Would be great hire as well.

Also I laughed pretty hard at the candidates Crepea came up with

According to the LSU posters on the CC board, Cooper was a solid coach but a mediocre recruiter, and Raymond is the opposite. I'm inclined to go with the better coach at this point.

We have a ton of really good recruiters on staff already.

And Crapa's list is bad.

I'm back (don't troll for downvotes on the poli board)

I vote for Raymond over Cooper. Much easier to coach up elite talent

I don't have a vote but if I did, it would be for someone who can coach man coverage and be aggressive on the short throws that always burn us for ~5yards. Performance will recruit itself.

Great guy. If you ever get the chance to drink a beer with him, do it. He has more stories than Carter has little liver pills. And he is a pretty good wingman too.

doesn't have anything to do with coaching it up. That is the alignment that Steele called. It appears that Steele prefers to keep everything in front of the defenders, for the most part.
