Anyone notice all these awards being given out this year? Do they do them every year (I have a poor memory)?

They seem like participation trophies, if I'm being honest...

Jarquez won Back of the year and Ironman

Woodward needs to do work on the starting unit.

Wow - I really must be aloof or oblivious. I mean, I remember winning the "Most Improved Player" award on my little league team, and that's what these feel like.

It’s a banquet for all athletic sports to attend.

Just like in elementary school on awards day where each grade announced the awards for the top student achievements .

Did you ever attend a sports banquet?

The athletes dress up nice for the occasion like they’re at the ESPYs. I have to imagine it’s still something that athletes want to attend.

Is this the one they call the AUSPYs or is that a different event?

Good point. I guess there are two banquets and the one in the spring is called the AUSPYs???
