Just a little bit of advice - using the phrase "with due respect" actually makes your common seem more disrespectful. Maybe...cut back on the usage a bit?

Quick summary of KN's insider yesterday
- Sounds like 5* LB Owen Pappoe & 4* OT Wanya Morris are going to announce their commitments on same day but might not be on May 5th as Pappoe originally expected. That's be cause the decisions are most likely gonna be announced on ESPN. KN says his sources have heard it's not as big a lock to UGA for Pappoe as many believe & KN is thinking about flipping his CB pick to foggy but sticking with UGA for now. As for Morris, everything KN has heard is that Tennessee has lead over AU so that's why he flipped his CB. Morris will visit AU again tho before making his commitment
- AU has made a big move on 4* CB Andrew Booth (my favorite CB in this class FYI) & a source believes it will be an AU/CLEM battle. Booth is good friends with Pappoe...
- Another guy AU has made a big move for is another Grayson stud, former LSU commit 4* WR Kenyon Jackson. Expected to visit soon
- Although the CB points to 4* RB John Emery landing at LSU, KN's sources say that Emery leaning towards leaving LA. In fact, KN thinks AU might actually be the favorite right now for Emery or at least one of the favorites. Says keep an eye on MICH & MIA as well
- Seems like KN spent some time in Grayson as he has another update on one of those dudes. 4* OLB Kevin Harris is a guy AU might look to make a push for. Right now LSU is probably the favorite with Bama, FSU & MIA right there. Apparently Harris isn't sure where he would fit in AU's defense (He's a Buck in my mind)
- Continues to get mixed signals on 5* WR Jadon Haselwood. Some believe is an UGA lock. Other believe he is likely to flip to either AU or OK. KN's gut feeling is he sticks with Dawgs (I agree)
If we could become a serious factor with Booth that would be huge. Dude is a stud

Big time 2020 OT Brady Ward will visit this weekend according to KN
Posted on 3/20/18 at 8:23 pm to TigerPaw1
KN had a follow up article with more info on 4* CB Andrew Booth. Says AU is definitely in it. Many believe CLEM is the favorite but Booth says hasn't started narrowing things down so far. Does mention AU, CLEM, BAMA, FSU, UGA OHST, SCAR & TEN are all teams he's looking hard at right now. Wants to commit before his senior season. Marcus Woodson & Travis Williams are recruiting Booth & he's clicked with both. He visited for the AU/UGA game & called environment crazy. Says his next visit will be to AU either this Saturday or in April on his spring break. Says relationship with Woodson & T-WILL are what standout
Not a bad pair of recruiters to have on a top 50 overall prospect at CB

FWIW 4* OLB Derick Hall told OM 247 that AU is the school recruiting him the hardest. Also KN says that AU seems to be pushing hard for MSST commit 4* DE Charles Moore. He apparently visited on February 10th but is planning to return with his parents & siblings this weekend
LSU thought they had flipped him on the same weekend they landed Handy so he doesn't sound 100% solid right now

Examining Auburn’s 2019 defensive line needs with several potential NFL departures (SECCountry)
quote:
I wrote a little earlier in the year about what Auburn’s defensive line recruiting approach will be in the 2019 class.
The big question: How many of Auburn’s defensive linemen will test NFL waters after the 2018 season?
Dontavius Russell and Andrew Williams will leave regardless following their final seasons of eligibility. Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson and Nick Coe will all be eligible to head to the NFL depending on league interest. Brown seems like the safest bet. As for Davidson and Coe, neither seem to have the same level of likelihood, so it’s too early to project. Technically, Daquan Newkirk will be draft eligible if he recovers from injury and makes an insanely fast rise to stardom.
The threat of an immediate defensive line overhaul is near.
Luckily for Auburn, there’s no better man for the job than Rodney Garner.
He has proven time and time again to be capable of unexpected recruiting success. Nobody saw Auburn as a realistic threat for Big Kat Bryant, and the Tigers got him. Auburn wasn’t the initial primary contender for Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson or Antwuan Jackson, and the Tigers hit on all three. Kayode Oladele? Yet another example of a later Garner pull.
So if Auburn feels the need to add five defensive linemen in the 2019 class — many of whom will be called upon to be ready-now guys — Garner will embrace the challenge and likely succeed.
Four names to track at defensive end:
4-star Curtis Fann, Twin City, Ga.
4-star Nathan Pickering, Seminary, Miss.
4-star Justin Eboigbe, Forest Park, Ga.
4-star Jaren Handy, New Augusta, Miss.
Three names to track at defensive tackle:
4-star Jaelin Humphries, Lawrenceville, Ga.
3-star DJ Dale, Pinson, Ala.
4-star Rashad Cheney, Ellenwood, Ga.
Knowing Garner, however, there are some 5-star talents Auburn is working on behind the scenes. And when those recruitments develop, expect the Tigers to remain heavily involved thanks to Garner.

Top defensive line target Nathan Pickering expects to be back at Auburn soon (SECCountry)
quote:
Nathan Pickering expects to be back at Auburn ‘soon’
Nathan Pickering was expected to be at Auburn earlier this month, but he had to rearrange his plans.
Still, as I mentioned earlier in March, Pickering planned to reschedule for later in the month. The 4-star defensive end from Seminary, Miss., hasn’t returned yet, but he plans to in the near future.
“Soon,” he told SEC Country on Monday evening.
Pickering originally hoped to reschedule for March 24-25, which is this weekend. As of Monday night, he wasn’t 100 percent certain whether he’d come this weekend versus wait a week, or until the spring game. But one thing is certain: Auburn is on his mind and has been the entire spring.
“They obviously will be a factor. When I put my top schools out, Auburn will be high on it. I loved it. … I’ll definitely be back. Anytime I get a chance to come, I’m coming,” Pickering said. “[Rodney Garner], he’s cool. He’s like a father figure to me. He seems like someone who I would love to be coached by.”
Auburn plans to host a solid contingent of prospects (more below) this weekend. It won’t be a junior day, per se, but it will be a star-studded group on campus nonetheless. Many of Auburn’s top Mississippi prospects will head to Atlanta this weekend for the Nike Opening Regional at Buford High School. It’s a convenient time to swing by the Plains.
Pickering, however, won’t participate in a Nike regional until the Dallas event in April.
Pickering, the nation’s No. 50 overall prospect, is Auburn’s No. 1 defensive line priority in the 2019 class. He last visited Auburn on Feb. 12 with his close friend and fellow 2019 target Dannis Jackson, a wide receiver.

3 big visits on deck for this week — maybe more
With spring break out of the way, Auburn will return to hosting its regular recruiting visits.
I mentioned above that the Tigers hope to host several top targets this weekend in a semi-junior day, of sorts. Many of those names aren’t finalized and will emerge throughout the week. But a few other top targets are already good to go.
Two, in particular, will be of premium interest.
CB Kaiir Elam
LB Donte Starks
Luke Stampini of 247Sports first reported Elam’s intent to visit. Auburn will be one of a few stops on Elam’s trek around some of the Southeast’s top programs. Elam is the No. 12-ranked cornerback in the 2019 class and a priority Auburn target. He’s the son of former NFL player Abe Elam, who has a few NFL links to Tigers defensive backs coach Greg Brown.
As for Starks, I wrote in more detail about his visit plan last week. Starks already has been to Auburn once this spring, so the return visit is telling — and pivotal. Starks is up there among linebackers coach Travis Williams’ top linebacker targets in the 2019 class.
He’s right up there with 5-star Nakobe Dean, another potential weekend visitor.
Dean visited last month with his high school teammate Raydarious Jones, a cornerback who picked up an offer. According to Dean, who will be at the Nike Opening regional in Atlanta, he’s undecided on his plans to visit Auburn this weekend. With the proximity to The Opening regional, however, he’s not ruling out the possibility.
FWIW KN confirmed with Jones that he & Dean plan on visiting AU with their moms as well

Auburn has 2 fastest prep track athletes this year
It’s time to bring back #AuburnFast.
When Gus Malzahn spoke about the 2018 recruiting class, he made it clear what element of the class impressed him most.
“Big-picture, this whole class, we really wanted to focus on speed, too, as we feel like we did that,” Malzahn said on National Signing Day.
It’s true — all the way down to the defensive linemen.
But the two prospects to exhibit it the most are wide receiver Anthony Schwartz and running back Shaun Shivers. Future Auburn football players, yes, but they’re making their names much more known this spring as two of the fastest sprinters in the entire country.
Correction: as the two fastest sprinters in the entire country.
Schwartz has been the top sprinter in the nation for more than a year. In fact, as it currently stands, he holds the fastest time in the nation in the 55-meter dash, 60-meter dash, 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. That’s the No. 1 time in the U.S. in four different sprinting events, some truly awe-inspiring stuff.
He isn’t alone in the class, however.
Shivers posted his personal-best 100-time last weekend with a sprint of 10.29 seconds. That’s the second-fastest 100-time of the spring track season.
Auburn fast, indeed.

How Auburn recruited its way from quarterback woes to deep future at position (SECCountry)
quote:
It wasn’t too long ago the narrative around Auburn’s quarterback depth chart sounded more like a nightmare than a dream.
Flash back to after Auburn fell to Georgia in the 2016 season.
Sean White constantly was battling injuries, enough to affect games against Vanderbilt, Georgia, Alabama and Oklahoma that season. John Franklin III didn’t make the JUCO-to-SEC jump that Rhett Lashlee would’ve liked. Woody Barrett wasn’t progressing as the Tigers coaching staff would’ve hoped. Tyler Queen hadn’t made a noticeable mark, and at the high school level Joey Gatewood was splitting reps at quarterback, which created some pause among Auburn’s quarterback evaluators.
In December 2016, however, something happened to help establish a comfortable future at quarterback for Auburn.
No, I’m not talking about Jarrett Stidham committing to Auburn over Texas A&M. That’s obvious. The Tigers could’ve landed Stidham — a former 5-star quarterback and the No. 1 overall JUCO prospect — and cruised through that recruiting class. They could’ve expected Stidham to come in and compete with White, Franklin, Barrett and Queen, adding further depth to a five-deep room.
But Auburn coaches saw the writing on the wall.
Before the 2017 season started: Barrett, Queen and Franklin, all gone. It took only a few weeks into 2017 — after Stidham had secured the starting job — for White to follow, albeit under different circumstances. In a hurry, Stidham stood alone in the quarterback room, save for one freshman.
That’s what made Auburn’s second move in December 2016 so important.
The Tigers didn’t coast when they added Stidham. They went out and found one of the most egregiously under-recruited prospects in Georgia in recent memory. Malik Willis, with his 21-2 career record as a high school quarterback, became the bridge between Auburn’s quarterback past and quarterback future. Willis has captured the attention of the Tigers coaching staff, players and fan base since his arrival.
Meanwhile, Gatewood — though still splitting some snaps — showcased a much more developed look as a passer in his 2017 senior season. Gatewood’s addition to the Stidham-Willis quarterback room gives Gus Malzahn and Chip Lindsey a nice buffet of talent.
It also gave them long-term comfort at the position. This avoids putting Auburn in a position where it has to recruit a junior college quarterback and a 3-star high school quarterback in the same cycle. Instead, the Tigers can turn their attention to future classes, one of which is already shored up with 2019 commit Bo Nix.
The Tigers can now turn their attention to the 2020 and 2021 classes. They’ve already handed out six offers:
4-star Harrison Bailey, Marietta, Ga.
4-star Max Johnson, Watkinsville, Ga.
4-star Jack Miller, Scottsdale, Ariz.
4-star Drew Pyne, New Canaan, Conn.
4-star TJ Finley, Ponchatoula, La.
2021 Aaron McLaughlin, Buford, Ga.
So, yes, it appears that Auburn’s quarterback woes have officially been put way. And that’s going to make future woes less likely to return.

Auburn to host defensive end who de-committed from LSU, 2 other SEC commits (SECCountry)
Add Gordon to that list above & that's 8 of the top 20 players from MS possibly visiting this weekend. Wouldn't be shocked if guys like Jarrian Jones, Brandon Turnage & Dannis Jackson also end up visiting if they decide to go to Atlanta as well for The Opening
quote:
Auburn to host top DE who recently de-committed from LSU
Jaren Handy’s last few weeks have been a whirlwind.
The 4-star defensive end from New Augusta, Miss., committed to LSU on March 3. SEC Country LSU recruiting reporter Sam Spiegelman wrote in detail about that commitment after a conversation with Handy. Handy hinted that the recruiting pressure from other schools picked up shortly after that pledge to LSU.
“Everyone has come after me even harder … everybody,” Handy said at the time. “I’m committed, but my recruitment is open. It’s really early in the process. Everyone has been texting me.”
One of those major pushes: Auburn.
Handy de-committed from LSU on March 15, less than two weeks after his commitment. He wanted to keep his options open and take more recruiting visits this spring before finalizing a decision.
Handy, like with many Mississippi prospects, has a close relationship with Auburn defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson. Woodson had been working to get Handy on campus this spring. In fact, Handy originally planned to visit the Plains on March 3 before a last-minute switch to LSU. He committed on that visit.
With Handy uncommitted, Auburn isn’t waiting to re-enter the picture.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end will make his first Auburn visit this weekend, he told SEC Country. Handy is ranked the No. 7 strongside defensive end nationally and the No. 95 overall recruit.
Handy won’t be the only Mississippi prospect on campus this weekend. As I wrote in this notebook Monday, 5-star linebacker Nakobe Dean is still listed as a maybe for the weekend as he travels to the Atlanta Opening regional. Top-50 defensive end Nathan Pickering also is considering a weekend visit.
Two Mississippi prospects, however, are confirmed: Charles Moore and Jamond Gordon.
Moore is committed to Mississippi State. He’s also a top-1oo prospect, ranked as the No. 6 strongside defensive end and No. 84 overall. Gordon is committed to Ole Miss. He’s the No. 33-ranked weakside defensive end in the nation.

Hall celebrates birthday by revealing his top schools (Rivals)
Based on his comments above my guess is this ends up an AU/OM/TEN battle
quote:
Over the last few months, Gulfport star Derick Hall has emerged as one of the top 2019 prospects in Mississippi.
The 6-foot-4, 214 pound turned 17 years old today and he picked that day to reveal to all who his top schools are. The athlete has added numerous offers in recent weeks, he has taken a handful of visits and he is now ready to name his first group of favorites.
"I have eight schools on my list now," said Hall. "This list came about by education No. 1. Next it was schools that I have visited that felt like home. Some schools I haven’t visited but they have shown a lot of love and we have a great relationship, so those things helped me get to eight."
Each school he is high on has offered and they are Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Louisville, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
Hall gives his reasons why he is high on each school.
ARKANSAS: "The reason Arkansas made it is coach [Chad] Morris. He is a great high character guy who loves his players and he wants to develop them as a person."
AUBURN: "I visited there and they have a great engineering program. I also think the coaching staff is amazing. I visited with coach [Gus] Malzahn and he is a great guy and they have great people there."
FLORIDA STATE: "I have just built a relationship there with the coaches and they talk real stuff with me. They don't just say something that a kid wants to hear and it’s not always about football, so that is why I like them:
LOUISVILLE: "I want to branch out and try new things while growing as a person and I think I can do that at Louisville. I like their coaching staff too."
MISSISSIPPI STATE: "When I visited there I saw that they have a great staff. We have a huge growing relationship and I like that a lot."
OLE MISS: "Ole Miss is just wow. Coach [Matt] Luke is amazing. He’s a coast guy which makes it even better. My guy coach [Freddie] Roach and coach [Terry] McGriff talk about education and growing as a man. That’s the great thing. I? have a relationship with every coach at Ole Miss."
TENNESSEE: "Tennessee is an amazing school. I have never visited there but what me and coach [Jeremy] Pruitt and some of the other coaches talk about drops them there. We talk about where he sees me playing, how he can't wait to get me up to Rocky Top and things like that."
VANDERBILT: "I like Vanderbilt because it’s just an amazing educational place and I? believe they are growing football wise."
He has visited the two in-state schools and Auburn so far, so the next thing on his to-do list is to check out a few more of these schools in person. A decision is likely to come after that.
"I want to take some visits, cut the list down one more time, then commit over the summer," said Hall. "I want to be committed by the time my senior year begins."
Based on his comments above my guess is this ends up an AU/OM/TEN battle
