Weirdly haven't seen anything come out yet on 4* CB Devin Bush's visit this past weekend. Just confirmation he was there but no reports on how the visit actually went

Auburn OL target Calvin Anderson sets announcement date (SECCountry)
quote:

Auburn has been fighting hard for Calvin Anderson, an offensive lineman who is a graduate transfer from Rice, and the Tigers will soon find out if the effort has been worth it.

On Twitter, Anderson announced that he will make his school choice known this Saturday.

At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Anderson could immediately help out an Auburn offensive line that lost a lot of talent and, at times, was a weak link for the Tigers offense last season.

While Auburn is in the race for Anderson, many expect him to stay in the Longhorn State and play for Texas. Michigan and Oklahoma are the other two schools that Anderson is considering.

Auburn WR target Quinton Torbor, teammate of top RB target, says Tigers ‘stick out’ (SECCountry)
quote:

Auburn WR target says Tigers ‘stick out’

Auburn hosted top running back John Emery last weekend for its junior day. Emery, from Destrehan, La., isn’t the only prospect from his high school showing interest in the Tigers. He was almost joined last weekend by high school teammate Quinton Torbor, who instead had 7-on-7 tournament obligations.

Torbor is a 4-star prospect who is ranked as the No. 48 receiver and No. 344 overall prospect in the Class of 2019. While he didn’t make it last weekend, Torbor is familiar with the Plains. Torbor has attended a few Auburn games over the last two seasons.

The Tigers stand out, he told SEC Country.

“Auburn, I’ve been out there a bunch of times,” Torbor said. “They stick out to me.”

The 6-foot-2, 182-pound wide receiver hears regularly from Auburn, as well as Mississippi State, Georgia and Tennessee. Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M and Florida have been in communication, but Torbor is waiting on offers from those schools.

Auburn has an advantage in that regard. For now, Torbor said Auburn is in touch often. The Tigers have made their interest clear, though they haven’t pressed hard.

“They said they’re going to come down for spring,” Torbor said. “They talk, but they’re not real talkative. You get the gist when you talk to them. They don’t hold you down for hours and hours. They’re going to say what they got to say.”

When Emery visited Auburn last weekend, he said he and Torbor have talked about the Tigers. Emery thought his visit to the Plains reinforced how he felt about Auburn and that he planned to return to Destrehan to talk it over with Torbor.

Torbor said a timeline for a decision and any spring visit plans to the Plains are “up in the air,” admitting that his plans would be influenced by how much interest certain schools show this spring.

2020 QB has high interest in AU, hopes to land offer (247)
quote:

NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla., — For 2019, Auburn offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Chip Lindsey has his man with 4-star quarterback commit Bo Nix of Pinson Valley (Ala.). With Nix on board, the Tigers already are targeting and evaluating 2020 quarterbacks.

To date, five 2020 signal callers claim Auburn offers.

Devon Lingle of Fletcher High hopes to someday join that list. He’s a 6-feet-2, 195-pound prospect who threw for 1,097 yards in four games last season. According to Lingle, his transfer in from nearby Ponte Vedra High caused a delay in him playing. But once he did, the numbers were strong.

In a win over Mandarin, he went 14 of 20 for 235 yards and two scores.

In another game, a comeback win over Columbia, he passed for 237 yards off the bench to rally his team to a win after it trailed 28-7.

According to Lingle, he has communicated with the Tigers for awhile.

“With Chip Lindsey — we have tried to stay in touch ever since I attended a summer camp,” Lingle said.

At that camp, Lingle said he got a feel for all things Auburn.

“It’s secluded, it’s a football town, a football school,” Lingle said. “I’ve followed Auburn forever. My favorite football player is Cam Newton.”

Lingle hopes to have a busy spring visiting colleges.

“This spring I plan on visiting Auburn, Miami and Georgia,” he said. “Plan on taking a trip to Miami (Friday). Auburn -- I’m trying to figure out right now with my dad and Coach Lindsey. I’d love to take a visit up there.”

According to Lingle, his interest is highest in Auburn and Miami. He also communicates regularly with USF and Central Michigan. Additionally, his quarterbacks coach speaks with Clemson, Georgia and Oklahoma.

For Lingle, another camp trip to Auburn is likely. In fact, that probably is where the Tigers will do their most intense evaluation of him — and that could determine whether he ultimately joins the offer list.

Where do Tigers come from? (247)
quote:

Since Gus Malzahn took over the Auburn football program after the 2012 season, the Tigers have had their share of success on the recruiting trail.

In fact, before the 2018 cycle Auburn had posted top-10 finishes in each of his seasons.

As you might expect, the bulk of Malzahn's signees have come from Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

All told, Auburn has signed 146 recruits since 2013. Of that, 126 are native to one of those states. That's good for 86.3 percent of his total signees.

Here's a closer look at how the Tigers have fared year-by-year under Malzahn in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

NOTE: When taking junior college signees into consideration, we went with their home state -- not where the junior college is located. Additionally, with 5-star signee Calvin Ashley we put him in the "Florida" category since he grew up there and only went to school a few months in Washington D.C. Finally, the 247Sports Composite is what we used for the rankings breakdown.

4* WR John Dunmore told KN he's intrigued by AU. He played with Shaun Shivers at Chaminade-Madonna & says that he's recruiting him hard to AU. Also says he talks a bunch with Kodi Burns. There's a good chance he will visit soon with the Shivers giving him a ride

AU has offered 27 WRs this class and all of them are 6'0" or taller. Nineteen are 6'2" or bigger. Seems pretty clear we not only want 2 elite WRs in this class but 2 tall, elite WRs

He's considered, by some, as one of those "generational" QB prospects at this point and most think he'll only get better. Here's the problem, Chip Lindsey won't be our OC by the time McLaughlin signs.

The good thing is, his girlfriend is a '19 volleyball signee so hopefully that relationship lasts!

Is Gus looking at any other Offensive Line graduate transfers whether Calvin Anderson commits to us or not?

Our OL ranks look too thin for any shot at a Championship run unless we get Calvin Anderson and maybe one more.
