Yeah, I follow.
Probably not the best idea I've ever had, but in my defense I'm not that bright to begin with and I may or may not have had a few adult beverages this afternoon on SOBE for Miami swim week :)
Anyway, sorry to any fellow Aubies for the brief thread hijack, back to crootin and congrats to Keiondre!

One thing this kid has is my top desired trait in a running back....contact balance. He very rarely is knocked off balance unless he's gang tackled. Very strong legs. He is also EXCELLENT at staying right on the butt of his OL and/or lead blocker and cutting off of them without getting his feet caught up in the wash. Some RB get way too excited when they see the whole open and jet right for it, he's patient enough to let the LB choose first and then jet the other way.
I don't see much lateral burst or agility though. Seems kind of stiff in the hips. I'd guess he runs around a 4.7 forty just looking at his film there. I'd say he's probably a low 4* type of guy. Wouldn't mind him in the class, but if he's going to be a contributor at Auburn I think he'd have to get a good bit faster and make Ryan Russell his bestie for agility.

According to MSST 247 Derick Hall plans to visit MSST's big event at end of July. Still plans on having a decision this summer
Moorehead has been pushing kids hard to commit at these events to if Hall leaves there uncommitted I think he picks AU in August.

I should note that MSST insiders haven't seemed all the reliable yet either. They were the ones reporting that Keiondre Jones's mom was not high on AU. KN completely debunked that & found it was opposite. Coaching staff loves his mom & Jones's mom is very high on AU
The OM & MSST reporters are uber homers & it comes off in reporting so don't be surprised if after Hall's visit CB's start coming back in for State

UGA just stole Warren McClendon from SCAR. Dawgs OL recruiting is absolutely ridiculous right now

Catching up on some articles, namely Jones commitment stuff
4-star OL Keiondre Jones commits to Auburn (247)
4-star OL Keiondre Jones commits to Auburn (247)
quote:
Not that long ago, Auburn was way down the list of Keiondre Jones' top schools.
But in January the Tigers began to make their push and Jones visited Auburn eight known times during the next six months. Riding that momentum, the Tigers secured a public commitment from the 4-star offensive guard from Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway on Saturday afternoon via Twitter. He privately told the staff he was coming during a visit to Auburn on June 23.
For the Tigers, this is another big pickup.
The 6-feet-4, 341-pound Jones is the No. 8 guard and No. 139 overall recruit nationally in the industry generated 247Sports Composite. He's an Under Armour All-American. The Tigers now have 13 commitments and the No. 12 class rankings (about 30 spots better than they were a year ago at this time with the 2018 class). Auburn now has eight commitment rated as a 4-star or better in the class.
Jones chose Auburn over two other finalists -- Florida and Mississippi State.
"I'm very comfortable (with his choice)," Jones said. "That's my family. I feel like I'm family around it. All the coaches make me feel comfortable. I love (offensive line) Coach J.B. Grimes -- he'll be the one coaching me. Coach (Gus) Malzahn made my mom feel comfortable, made me feel comfortable. We have a really good time when we go down there. They always tell me, if I want to bring family with me, they tell me to bring who I want."
According to Jones, things began to shift in his recruitment earlier this year when Auburn brought in Grimes to replace Herb Hand, who departed during the offseason for Texas. He said that’s when Auburn's recruitment of him intensified and he was told he was a priority recruit.
The Tigers now have three offensive linemen committed as Jones joins center Jakai Clark and tackle Justin Osborne. They could take two more.
Defensive line coach Rodney Garner is Jones' area recruiter.
Auburn now has two commitments in July and more could be coming. Earlier this week, the Tigers landed 4-star 2020 linebacker/end Quandarrius Robinson of Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin.
Here’s a look at where things stand with the 2019 class …
-Quarterback: With 4-star recruit Bo Nix of Pinson Valley (Ala.) on board, the Tigers probably are done at this position.
-Running back: Auburn has none committed and could take one or two. Noah Cain of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy is believed to be the top target. The Tigers are a contender, along with LSU and Texas. He plans to officially visit Auburn in the fall.
-Tight end: With two on board -- Luke Deal and Tyler Fromm -- the Tigers are done.
-Receiver: With George Pickens and Ja'Varrius Johnson committed, Auburn still could add one or two more receivers to the class.
-Offensive line: Auburn now has Jones, Osborne and Clark committed, leaving one or two spots to fill.
-Defensive line: Ends Jaren Handy and Jamond Gordon are the two commits. The Tigers could add two or three more linemen. Defensive end Colby Wooden of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer and buck linebacker/end Derick Hall of Mississippi could be the two closest to joining the class.
-Linebacker: With 5-star Owen Pappoe in the class, the Tigers would like to add two more backers.
-Cornerback: Auburn has one committed (Jaylin Simpson) and could add up to three more. Five-star target Andrew Booth should have a decision this summer.
-Safety: Auburn would like one or two here.
-Athlete: Jashawn Sheffield could end up at receiver or defensive back.

Keiondre Jones predicts huge finish for Auburn recruiting (247)
quote:
Keiondre Jones is thrilled to be an Auburn commitment. Jones become verbal pledge No. 13 for Auburn on Saturday when the 4-star offensive guard from Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway went public with his commitment via Twitter. Auburn now is up to No. 12 in the 247Sports class rankings. Why Auburn? “Auburn has a great family feel,” Jones said. “It’s right down the road, only like 45 minutes away so I can come home when necessary. I really love the coaches. They made me feel very comfortable there.” Offensive line coach J.B. Grimes, who arrived at Auburn in January as the replacement for Herb Hand (who left for a job at Texas), played a big role in this recruitment, along with defensive line coach Rodney Garner, who is Jones’ area recruiter. “I love Coach Grimes,” Jones said. “He’s like a grand-father type person to me. He’s wise when it comes to football and when it comes to life period.” Now that he is committed, Jones plans to help the Auburn class move up even further in the rankings by recruiting other top prosects. Another Tigers commit, 5-star linebacker Owen Pappoe of Grayson (Ga.), told Auburn Undercover earlier this month he thinks Auburn will finish with a top-five class. As for Jones? “Top five might be an understatement,” he said. Click play above to watch our entire interview with Jones.

Who could be next to commit? (247)
quote:
Right now, Auburn is on quite a recruiting roll.
After a relatively slow start in the current cycle, the Tigers have come on strong the past four months. During this time, they are plus-11 on 2019 commitments, have gained a 5-star linebacker in Owen Pappoe, landed two of the top 2020 prospects in the South and picked up a key grad transfer offensive tackle.
On Saturday, 4-star offensive guard Keiondre Jones of Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway became the latest commit for Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and the Tigers. He's an Under Armour All-American and top 150 national recruit. Jones picked the Tigers over Florida and Mississippi State and gave them three offensive line commitments.
Right now, Auburn has 13 commitments and the No. 12 class ranking. It could be poised to finish in the top five. While the final class size isn’t known -- and won't be until National Signing Day in February -- the Tigers are expected to take around 10 or 11 more recruits in this cycle.
Auburn isn't just getting quantity, the Tigers are getting quality. Of the 13 class-of-2019 commitments, eight of them have a 4-star rating or better. Overall, the pledges have an average-rating-per-commit of 91.44 -- well above the 4-star dividing line of 90.
And the Tigers aren't done.
Auburn is in the hunt with several big-name and highly ranked recruits -- and more than a few of them are expected to announce commit decisions this summer. Who could be the next to commit? Here are some candidates ….
Posted on 7/16/18 at 11:23 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
-WR Jalen Curry, Houston (Texas) St. Pius: Curry potentially could decide in the very near future. He’s the No. 26 receiver in the class according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite. According to our latest intel, Auburn is the team to beat for Curry, who officially visited the Tigers in June. There’s a chance Curry could return to Auburn the last week of the month for the Tigers' July 28 recruit picnic, he recently told us. If that happens, it wouldn't be a shock to see him join the commit list at that time. Auburn's current commits have been working hard on Curry, namely Pappoe, quarterback Bo Nix and receiver George Pickens.
Posted on 7/16/18 at 11:23 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
-DE Colby Wooden, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer: The 3-star defensive end will choose between Auburn and Clemson and there are many who think Auburn has pulled ahead. That said, Clemson can’t ever be counted out. Wooden has long planned to announce his decision next month. Could he bump that up? We have not heard anything to suggest he might. In fact, he continues to say he will commit in August, though he has not yet set a date. Wooden plans to return to Auburn on July 28. Pappoe is recruiting him hard and Wooden has good relationships with other Auburn commits. Wooden is the No. 30 strong-side end in the country.

quote:
-Buck LB Derick Hall, Gulfport (Miss.): The Top247 recruit will make a commitment before school starts. Auburn and Mississippi State both like their chances — and it’s a true battle between those two programs. But at The Opening two weeks ago, Hall named the Tigers as his official leader. At that time, it looked like a July decision was possible. But because Hall plans to check out FSU and Florida the last week of the month, don't expect a decision until August. The Tigers have done an excellent job recruiting Hall’s family and can only hope that pays off. He's a priority recruit because of his pass-rush skills.

quote:
-CB Andrew Booth, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer: A 5-star corner, Booth plans to have a summer decision, but he has given no date. Clemson has long been the favorite but Auburn has made it interesting. In fact, sources say he has gone back and forth between the two programs in the past month. Right now, this one remains too close to call. Some think Auburn. Some think Clemson. At Auburn, the Tigers staff is said to be cautiously optimistic. One could make the argument Booth is the most important target left on the board for Auburn. He’ll visit Clemson on July 27. He said he also plans to visit Auburn again this summer, but gave no date.
Posted on 7/16/18 at 11:24 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
-CB Zion Puckett, Griffin (Ga.) Spalding: One of Auburn’s top overall recruits, Puckett has the Tigers squarely in front of Alabama and Ohio State. He recently spent three days at Auburn and that pushed the Tigers into the lead. Puckett doesn’t intend to announce a commitment until the fall, but the potential is there for him to push things up. Auburn is in good shape as of today. Puckett could play corner, safety of nickel. He’s the No. 14 athlete nationally in the 247Sports Composite. Look for him to officially visit the weekend Auburn plays host to LSU in September.
Posted on 7/16/18 at 11:25 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
-CB Nehemiah Pritchett, Jackson (Ala.): Auburn leads for the speedy 3-star in-state recruit who plans to visit the Tigers again in late July for the program’s recruit picnic. Pritchett's chances of joining the class increased greatly after Cordale Flott flipped to LSU. Just a week before, Pritchett impressed the Auburn staff at camp, where he ran consecutive 40-yard dash times in the 4.4-second range. Would Auburn accept Pritchett’s verbal before learning its fate with Booth and Puckett? It might, but we can't answer that question for certain right now. What we know is this: The Tigers like Pritchett a lot -- and he likes them.

quote:
-WR Jadon Haselwood, Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove: A 5-star recruit, Haselwood is a longtime Georgia commit, but he continues to flirt with Auburn. At last check, he has visited the Tigers four times this year, including twice in August. While Georgia remains confident it will keep Haselwood in the class, Auburn thinks it has a shot. One reason for this is the strong bond Haselwood has built with Nix and Pickens, his 7-on-7 teammates for a Cam Newton-coached squad based in Atlanta. Haselwood plans to give Auburn an official visit sometime during this upcoming season. Miami is another team to watch.

quote:
-LB Trezmen Marshall, Homerville (Ga.) Clinch County: The 4-star linebacker committed to Georgia in April. But after Pappoe, his close friend, committed to Auburn a week later Marshall started to give the Tigers a good look. He visited them twice in a matter of weeks and it began to look like a flip certainly was possible. Additionally, he visited both FSU (three times) and Tennessee. But anyone who thought a flip would be easy is mistaken. This one will take work and it would not be a surprise at all to see Marshall stick with the Bulldogs. Auburn is pushing, though, and it seems to be a two-horse race.

quote:
-OG William Putnam, Tampa (Fla.) Plant: Putnam is a big-time recruit. He ranks as the No. 3 guard and No. 87 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite. After attending Big Cat Weekend at Auburn in early June, he told us Auburn and FSU were the two programs that stood out. That was his second trip to Auburn this year — but to our knowledge he hasn’t yet returned. Many think FSU is trending right now. Putnam loves Auburn but appears to be very close with Seminoles offensive line coach Greg Frey. Putnam has gone silent but he previously said he planned to commit this summer.
Would love to see him make it to the big event July 28th but I suspect he goes to FSU & commits

quote:
-OG Kamaar Bell, Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County: Auburn offered Bell, a 3-star guard, in May and then he impressed the staff while camping with the Tigers a few weeks later. Bell says the Tigers and Alabama are the two programs that stand out. Is Auburn waiting on Putnam to decide before pushing for Bell? Maybe … but it sounds like the Tigers think very highly of Bell to begin with. Whoever recruits Bell harder between Auburn and Alabama ultimately is likely to have the better chance of landing him. Auburn wants to add one more guard to the class. Bell seems to be in no rush to commit, but will that change if spots start filling up?

4-star OG commits to Auburn (Rivals)
Hand almost let this dude get away...
quote:
Auburn has added a four-star lineman to its 2019 class.
Keiondre Jones, who is ranked the No. 10 offensive guard, announced on Saturday his commitment to Auburn.
“I feel at home at Auburn,” Jones said. “I like that it’s close to home and it’s big-time football.”
Jones chose Auburn over his other two finalists, Florida and Mississippi State. Jones took an official visit to each before making his decision.
“I just have a good feeling at Auburn,” Jones said. “It's real nice and feels like home. I like that it's a small city. It's a great hometown feel and it's very close to home. It has a good vibe and I like it there a lot.”
Jones has visited Auburn more than a dozen times and has developed strong bonds with the coaches. That includes offensive line coach J.B. Grimes.
“I like Coach Grimes a lot,” Jones said. “He’s kind of like a grandfather to me. And I have a good relationship with Coach Malzahn, too.”
Jones is the third offensive lineman in Auburn’s 2019 class, joining center Jakai Clark and tackle Justin Osborne. He’s also the sixth player from Georgia to commit to the Tigers.
Rivals ranks Jones, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 340 pounds, No. 150 in the Rivals250 and the No. 14 player in Georgia.
