He struggled at UF. It's really hard to struggle at UF.
It looks like he has SC heading in a good direction, but let's wait and see what happens when he loses their QB. D has never been a problem for Muschamp. It's the O side of the ball that has been giving him fits.

Osborne is also the first true offensive tackle commit for Auburn since five-star Calvin Ashley committed to the 2017 class.

IIRC Dunmore is from Delray Beach. Former AU WR Marcus Davis is from Delray Beach. IIRC again Marcus Davis is now on the staff In some form or fashion. #Bagman

Aight catching up on some some commit articles...
BREAKING: South Georgia athlete commits to Auburn over Tennessee, Florida State (SECCountry)
BREAKING: South Georgia athlete commits to Auburn over Tennessee, Florida State (SECCountry)
quote:
AUBURN, Ala. — Jashawn Sheffield had a clear plan.
Sheffield, who was close to committing earlier this year, wanted to make one more trip to Auburn with his mother before finalizing anything. He traveled up from St. Simons Island, Ga., for his official visit, and after spending the day with players and coaches on Friday, Sheffield went public with a commitment on Saturday.
He became the 12th commitment in the 2019 class. Sheffield is the nation’s 10th-ranked athlete and No. 150 overall prospect. With Sheffield’s commitment, Auburn moves up three spots to No. 13 in the recruiting team rankings.
Sheffield’s decision shouldn’t be much of a surprise given his comments following his first Auburn trip earlier this spring. He picked the Tigers over Tennessee and Florida State.
“Great atmosphere. They make me feel like it’s family here. Genuine people, I know they really care. They have a good business program. I just think I’m going to have a good time here. I love it here. I’m happy here,” Sheffield said. “The first time I came here, I was very happy to be here. I felt like I was home, I didn’t even want to go home when I got here. This is it. This is over with. This is my home.“
Sheffield joins high school teammate Jaylin Simpson — who committed earlier in the spring — as part of the Tigers’ 2019 class. Sheffield said he knew since his recruitment began that he wanted to play alongside Simpson in college.
“Yeah, we knew we wanted to play together the whole time,” Sheffield said. “We had a feeling it was going to work out like that. We didn’t want to stop playing together.”
Sheffield does it all for his high school football team. At Frederica Academy (Ga.), Sheffield plays running back, wide receiver, defensive back and kick returner.
For Auburn, the 4-star prospect has flirted with wide receiver or safety. The Tigers are taking Sheffield’s commitment under the “athlete” label, which gives both Sheffield and Auburn the flexibility to see how things shape out with his 2018 season and the rest of the 2019 class.

BREAKING: Cornerback Cordale Flott flips from Auburn to LSU (SECCountry)
quote:
For the first time in two cycles, a prospect has de-committed from Auburn.
Saraland (Ala.) cornerback Cordale Flott officially visited LSU over the weekend. On Sunday, he flipped his commitment from Auburn to LSU, he confirmed to SEC Country. It moves Auburn back to 11 commitments in the 2019 class.
Flott originally committed to Auburn on April 17, but he made it clear his recruitment wasn’t likely complete.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback has visited Auburn multiple times since his commitment. In the months since Flott’s pledge, however, Auburn’s cornerback board has started to take better shape. It had become clear the Tigers — who didn’t have a cornerback commitment at the time of Flott’s commitment — were in play for a few more elite cornerback targets from outside the state.
Auburn landed St. Simons Island, Ga., cornerback target Jaylin Simpson two weeks later. From there, Andrew Booth, Zion Puckett and Adonis Otey have emerged as prime cornerback targets. Auburn also feels as though it’s still in play for Alabama cornerback commit Christian Williams from Daphne, Ala. Another in-state cornerback, Nehemiah Pritchett, has emerged as one of the Tigers’ newest rising targets, as well.
The direction of that cornerback board softens the blow of Flott’s flip to LSU.
Auburn planned to take three cornerbacks in the 2019 class. Simpson fills one of those holes. Flott’s decision allows the addition of two more of those elite cornerbacks in this Tigers class.
Flott ranks as the nation’s No. 51 cornerback and No. 600 overall prospect.

My take: This should be considered a mutual parting of ways, something that’s been in the works for a few weeks now.
Auburn is in the market for a few cornerback targets it views higher on its board. Flott, who I’ve been told had an exceptional showing at LSU’s camp — and many on the Auburn staff still really like — had other great choices. LSU became Flott’s clear top choice, and even though those Tigers already have several other cornerbacks on board, they were willing to take the Mobile, Ala., cornerback right away.
Look for Auburn to still add two or three more cornerbacks in this class, depending on the elite status of who decides to commit.

BREAKING: Auburn lands first offensive tackle commitment in 2019 class (SECCountry)
quote:
Justin Osborne is here to ease Auburn’s tackle recruiting concerns.
The Tigers haven’t taken a tackle commitment since Austin Troxell in the Class of 2017. Osborne ended that trend Sunday. The IMG Academy (Fla.) tackle, who recently de-committed from TCU, didn’t take long to choose his next destination.
Osborne announced his Auburn pledge Sunday, a week after his official visit to the Plains.
Osborne ranks as the nation’s No. 40 tackle and the No. 428 overall prospect. Offensive line coach J.B. Grimes made as many allowable trips as possible this spring to scout at IMG Academy. It wasn’t until recently that Osborne emerged as the most likely OL candidate for the Tigers to nab from the Bradenton, Fla., prep school.
Auburn wasn’t the only program to pick up interest in Osborne this spring. Florida, Arizona and Utah all offered after Osborne’s commitment to TCU on Feb. 7.
Osborne took an official visit to the Plains last weekend. He announced his de-commitment from the Horned Frogs shortly thereafter, and it came with the full intention of re-committing to Auburn shortly after that.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound tackle becomes the 12th commitment in the Tigers class. Osborne’s commitment has Auburn as the No. 14 class in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings after losing a pledge from Cordale Flott earlier in the day.
It’s possible Osborne isn’t the last IMG Academy prospect to land in Auburn’s 2019 class. The Tigers are still actively recruiting running back Noah Cain as the No. 1 target on the board.

As of now Auburn is at 5 commits in the top 150 of the 247 composite. We only had 3 in the 2018 class.
We did have a great '18 class in terms of getting a lot of blue-chip guys, but not many elites. Nice to see us doing well with those types in '19.

Tiger Night Notes: Class of 2020 5-star RB visits Auburn (Rivals)
quote:
AUBURN | The No. 1 running back in the 2020 class was in Auburn on Friday.
Five-star Zachary Evans, who is ranked the No. 6 overall junior in the country, visited Auburn along with several of his teammates from North Shore (Texas).
“This was my first time and it was a good visit,” Evans said. “Auburn is an amazing place. It’s wonderful. It’s peaceful.”
Evans was one of around 30 underclassmen in Auburn for Tiger Night, a camp/event for Class of 2020 recruits. He plans to return in the fall before narrowing his long list of offers.
“I’ll be back for a game,” Evans said. “I’ll start narrowing things down my junior year and make my commitment my senior year.”
Evans doesn’t list any early leaders. He plans to visit Alabama on Saturday.

AUBURN OFFERS MORRIS
Chandler Morris received an offer from Auburn on Friday.
Morris, the son of Arkansas coach Chad Morris, earned the offer after competing in Tiger Night.
“I’m excited,” Morris said. “I really like Coach (Gus) Malzahn and Coach (Chip) Lindsey.”
The offer is Morris’ third. Auburn joins Clemson and Arkansas on Morris’ offer list. Morris isn’t in a rush to make a commitment, but admits choosing between Arkansas and any other school won’t be easy.
“It will be tough,” Morris said. “It will be the toughest decision I make. Auburn will be a top contender. I’ve always loved Auburn and always been a school that I’ve loved growing up.”

AUBURN LEADS FOR WILLIAMS
Auburn recently offered Central-Phenix City wide receiver E.J. Williams and has moved up his list.
Williams, a Class of 2020 recruit, named Auburn his leader after attending Tiger Night on Friday.
“I had a nice talk with Coach Malzahn and we have a good connection,” Williams said. “I like it here a lot. This is the school I’m most comfortable with right now. Auburn is at the top of my list.”
Auburn wide receivers coach Kodi Burns, who also is Williams’ area recruiter, is a big reason the Tigers are No. 1.
“I really like him,” Williams said. “I really like the way he coaches me. He’s strict and stern. He doesn’t try to be my friend and I like that.”

2020 WR COMMIT SOLID TO AU
Four-star athlete Kobe Hudson committed to Auburn in April and hasn’t had any regrets.
Hudson was one of 30 recruits to attend and participate at Tiger Night.
“It felt good to get out there and work at wide receiver,” Hudson said.
Hudson’s teammate, Class of 2020 four-star defensive end Andy Boykin, did not visit Auburn. Boykin, also committed to the Tigers, is considering and has visited Georgia. That doesn’t concern Hudson.
“He’s not going anywhere,” Hudson said. “I’m going to make sure he stays here.”
Got a feeling we are all gonna really like Hudson by end of his recruiting cycle

No. 14 ATH commits to Auburn (Rivals)
quote:
AUBURN | Auburn has added a commitment from the No. 14 athlete in the country.
Jashawn Sheffield, a four-star recruit from Frederica Academy in Saint Simons Island, Ga., announced Saturday his intention to sign with Auburn.
“I love it (at Auburn),” Sheffield said. “Everybody is like family. They make me feel like it’s family here. Genuine people, I know they really care. They have a good business program. I just think I’m going to have a good time here. I love it here. I’m happy here.”
Sheffield was in Auburn this weekend on an official visit. It was his third visit to Auburn in the past two months.
“I can see that they genuinely care about me,” Sheffield said. “They don’t just talk about football. I know football is a big part, but they talk about education a lot, too.”
Sheffield has had Auburn atop his list of favorites since April. He's known since then he wanted to attend Auburn.
“The first time I came here I was very happy to be here," Sheffield said. "I felt like I was home, I didn’t even want to go home when I got here.”
Sheffield chose Auburn over early offers from Florida State, South Carolina and others. He joins teammate and close friend Jaylin Simpson, a four-star cornerback, on Auburn’s commitment list.
Sheffield doesn't plan on visiting any other colleges. His recruitment is over.
“This is it," he said. "This is over with. This is my home.”
Sheffield, whom Auburn is recruiting to play safety, is the 12th commitment in the Tigers’ 2019 class.

The Timeline: How Auburn landed Jashawn Sheffield (Rivals)
quote:
Tennessee has continued to pursue Jashawn Sheffield, Florida State was involved and South Carolina was at one time viewed as the favorite, but the Rivas 250 athlete out of St. Simons Island (Ga.) Frederica Academy has committed to the Auburn Tigers.
The 6-foot-2, 180 pounder is now headed to play in the SEC, so lets take a look at how this race played out.

THE BEGINNING
"The offer from Auburn came during my freshman year. Tennessee was first, then Georgia and Auburn was right there after that. It came after my freshman football season.
"I really too notice of Auburn football for the first time when Chris Davis returned that field goal attempt by Alabama in the 2013 Iron Bowl. That is really when i started to know and learn more about Auburn. That one play kind of put them on my radar.
"In recruiting, things got started early with Auburn, but things started off kind of slow. It took me a while to get there for a visit and I really was not talking to them much at the beginning.
"I know teachers at my school that went to Auburn, I know students from around where I live that went to Auburn, so I kept hearing about Auburn. I was being told about the atmosphere, the people there and things like that, so Auburn was always in my mind even though I was not really talking to the coaches or taking visits there.
"Coach Kodi Burns came through the school my sophomore year and that is really when things got started between us. I did not visit them as early as I did other schools, so I was not talking about Auburn as much as other schools, but in the back of my mind, they were there."

THE TURN
"We had been staying in touch, but when I finally visited Auburn for the very first time early this spring, that is when things really changed for me.
"I was there in March. During the season, Auburn really picked things up with me and they really started coming at me hard. They were talking to me a lot, trying to get me to visit and when I finally did, I loved it.
"I came out of the first visit with Auburn as my top school and it has been that way since. I was there for 24 hours and just being around the players, spending more time with the coaches and just getting the feeling of things helped a lot.
"The players came up to me and that had never happened with me. They were asking me to hang out and all that. I bonded with the players immediately. The coaches were different too. I had great meetings with the coaches and it was not even all about football. The visit was different.
"The whole visit surprised me and it changed things for me. I went into that visit with Florida State and South Carolina as my top two schools, but I came out with Auburn as my leader."

quote:
THE FINALE
"My mind was made up completely after my second visit to Auburn. I was there for two days on that visit and I knew then that Auburn was going to be the school for me.
"The players made me feel like family. I knew Auburn was it for me. I was ready to make the decision.
"It is the right fit for me. It feels like family, they offer a great education, the football program is elite and the bond I have with the coaches is second to none. The coaches check up on me every day. They care about me and they just want to make sure I am doing OK.
"It is a great feeling to be committing to Auburn. I enjoyed the ride while I had it, but I am just ready to go handle business at Auburn now."

Out-of-state DE, in-state LB earn Auburn offers (Rivals)
quote:
AUBURN | Class of 2020 defensive end Will Anderson camped at Auburn on Saturday with one goal in mind.
“I wanted to come with the mindset to work hard so I could get an offer,” Anderson said.
Mission accomplished.
Anderson, from Dutchtown in Hampton, Ga., earned an offer from the Tigers after an impressive performance during Auburn’s High School Tiger Camp IV.
“It felt good (to get the offer),” Anderson said. “I liked the camp. I got to compete and work hard with Coach (Rodney) Garner. He did an excellent job teaching us new things.”
Anderson now claims more than 20 offers, which isn’t surprising after he recorded 42 tackles and 14 sacks as a sophomore. More offers will come.
Anderson doesn’t plan to make an early decision. He will take more visits, including a return trip to Auburn on July 28.
“I really like this place,” Anderson said. “It feels very homy and they treat you like family here. This was my first visit here and I love the campus.”

AUBURN OFFERS IN-STATE LB
Theodore linebacker Demouy Kennedy entered the weekend with 10 scholarship offers, and the junior-to-be added No. 11 on Saturday.
“Auburn offered me,” Kennedy said. “It felt great. I was excited.”
Kennedy, who is ranked the No. 5 outside linebacker in the 2020 class, earned the offer after participating in Auburn’s High School Tiger Camp IV.
“I was surprised,” Kennedy said. “Coach (Gus) Malzahn and Coach (Kevin) Steele told me about the offer. It felt really good.”
Kennedy doesn’t list any early favorites, but said he’ll heavily consider the Auburn offer.
“Auburn is real nice,” he said. “Auburn has great facilities and great coaches. I like how they take care of their players.”
Kennedy plans to return to Auburn July 28 and again in the fall for a game.
