The class of 2019 Top247 was updated as the calendar shifted from January to February and it's time to take an even deeper look at the prospects to know in the state of Alabama, beyond the 11 among the top 247 prospects in the country.
More than a dozen additional prospects in the state have added three stars on 247Sports since.

Notes: In addition to switching high schools, from Prattville to reigning Class 6A runner up Wetumpka, Lucas is heating up on the recruiting trail. Auburn is his latest offer, coming after a visit to The Plains last weekend, which he reflects on here. Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Georgia Tech and others are on his offer list. On the field, how his body fills out will be a interesting angle to track considering the 6-foot-3, 255 pounds he currently carries.
Crazy to me kids are transferring out of Prattville. There was a time this was the other way around

Notes: The legit track star shows dynamic running ability on the football field and his arm is beginning to catch up just in time for the all-important offseason for every QB in between junior and senior year. His 31 touchdown 2017 campaign has helped to land offers from Mississippi State, Maryland, Indiana, Virginia and others early on, but should his solid arm lead to good efforts on the camp circuit it wouldn't surprise to see the offer list double.

Notes: A good athlete with elite quickness and potential as an inside cornerback, several SEC and ACC programs have already jumped into the mix with scholarship offers to Hill. He has the chance to hit the next threshold of offers this offseason.

Atalla (Ala.) Etowah edge rusher Jamin Graham
Notes: Few in the state have the frame of Graham, at 6-foot-6, north of 200 pounds. He is lighter than 2018 riser and eventual Top247 member Malik Langham, but the two have a similar trajectory and similar offer list at this same stage. The difference could be that Graham may be able to stand up at the next level, part of the reason he already holds double-digit offers.
A lot of prospects like this kid instate. Dudes with huge wingspans but need to bulk up. Curious to see if AU goes after a bunch of em or not

Notes: A state runner-up in 2017, Cox's stock has been on the rise since his rock solid junior season. Nebraska, Tennessee, Ole Miss and others have jumped in since the year came to a close. Every program could use a 6-foot-4, 300 pounder so any improvement he shows moving forward will force other programs' hand.

Notes: Keep a close eye on this long and lean offensive tackle despite him not holding a Power 5 scholarship offer just yet. He is a great athlete, with a great frame at 6-foot-5 with long arms. Should he fill out some more over the next six months he could be the biggest riser in the state before all is said and done.

Notes: Every program who has stopped in at Oxford High to see five-star Clay Webb ends up leaving having asked just as much of McCallum. The big thumper of a linebacker is a legit 6-foot-3, 235 pounds and it has helped him to recent offers from LSU, South Alabama, Troy and others. His offer list will triple before all is said and done.

Notes: Brown is a hybrid defender as a safety or linebacker but several programs have seen enough to move in on him during a hot spring of 2017, including Alabama and Tennessee. Florida moved on the 6-foot, 205-pound prospect much more recently. If Brown can show enough coverage skill in the camp setting, he could heat back up on the trail.

Notes: Hutcherson is yet another big, emerging defensive lineman in the state. He stands a towering 6-foot-5, 290 pounds with the tape that makes many in Birmingham attach SEC to his name. Seven programs have offered, all since the New Year as far as we can tell, including Power 5 offer No. 1 from Purdue. It won't be the last one and the SEC will eventually come calling.

Notes: Not the biggest back, the state champion could still end up as the premiere player at the position even as more and more tailback types emerge. McCammon packs a physical punch despite a 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame and has speed to burn to go along with it. He's already collected double-digit FBS offers and the Power 5 should be close to joining the party.
This dude's fun to watch. Curious to see if AU/AL ever offer

Notes: Pictured above, Martin has the fewest FBS scholarship offers among the juniors in the state to add stars to his name, but don't let it fool you on his ability. He is a compact edge rusher at 6-foot-1, 240 pounds, with varsity experience at inside linebacker as well. Production against both the run and the pass will eventually be enough for colleges to pull the trigger on the Class 6A All-State selection.

Notes: Still somewhat unknown despite offers from Alabama and Tennessee, Little has been referred to as a freak for well over a year as a multi-sport head-turner. With speed to burn at 6-foot-6, the lack of football experience hasn't prevented major colleges from taking a hard look at him. It seems like a matter of more folks actually getting eyes on him, including us, before he hits the next level as a prospect.

Notes: The athletic linebacker was a part of the reason the Warriors went from fringe playoff program to the state semifinal in the state's highest classification. He moves very well and can prove productive against both the run and the pass at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. ACC programs Louisville, North Carolina and Duke have already offered while Ole Miss has kicked off his SEC offer slate.

Notes: UAB recently became offer No. 1 for Curtis, but he had the three stars by his name beforehand. He helped the state champion Hoover defense both as a traditional linebacker and occasional pass-rusher at a head-turning 6-foot-5 frame. Should pursuing the quarterback become a strength on a smart player who already runs well, he could see a big boom with his stock heading into his senior campaign.

Notes: Amerson has intrigue surrounding his name because he is a very productive offensive player, but some envision him eventually playing defense in college. He has good size at around 6-foot, 210 pounds, and the traits that make him hard to stop at running back translate well to defense -- instincts, physicality, toughness, etc. Whether projected at running back or linebacker, he'll be among the best in the Yellowhammer State for this group. Amerson already holds offers in the SEC, ACC and Big Ten for a reason.

Notes: Despite being a bit sawed-off, few in the state have the motor or production along the defensive line like Davis. He is low the the ground and is hard to beat in the leverage department, resulting in the pocket being pushed from the interior and plenty of negative plays forced. Fit will be important with colleges taking a chance on him, but today's game lends itself more towards impact defenders regardless of size, much of the reason Ole Miss, Louisville, UAB and several others have already jumped in.

Notes: If the aforementioned McCammon is the top true tailback in the state right now, keep an eye on Byrd closing that gap. He is bigger and just as productive, but perhaps hasn't been seen as much -- yet. Thompson is now a must-stop program in the state, just as Hoover long has been, and the "secret" on Byrd won't last much longer. North Carolina and Duke have already pulled the trigger among Power 5 programs.
The evaluation process is only in the initial stages in 2019 and with the state of Alabama set for its deepest cycle in recent memory, plenty of twists and turns remain.

247Sports updated the Top247 portion of the rankings for the current junior class of late and the state of Alabama has double-digit prospects within it. In all, 11 Yellowhammer State prospects made the latest cut, released by the network just before the 2018 class made things official on national signing day.

He is the second-highest ranked interior offensive line prospect in the entire class, trailing only Louisiana's Kardell Thomas. Thomas is an LSU commitment with a 96 rating, while Webb is just behind at 95. Alabama, Auburn and Georgia are the programs at the top of the list for the 6-foot-3, 297-pound Webb. He remains a five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
Want this kid badly but I am not optimistic
