Joiner watching the Auburn offense closely (247)
quote:

Although there could be a long way to go in his recruitment, two programs have emerged from the pack for 4-star running back Harold Joiner of Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook -- Auburn and LSU.

The reason?

"They're basically the two schools that keep communicating with me," Joiner said. "I've been in both of those offenses before."

According to Joiner, the talks with the Auburn staff occur least "every other day."

At this time, he isn't yet sure if he will attend A-Day this Saturday. But whether he makes it to Auburn this weekend or not, Joiner likely will visit that program a bunch in the future.

"I'm looking for how their offense is developing," Joiner said.

AuburnUndercover.com caught up with Joiner on Sunday at the Under Armour camp near Atlanta. Click play to see his full interview.

This is what a 6-feet-4/215-pound RB looks like (247)

Give me Joiner or Teague this class and I will be happy

Andres Fox includes Alabama, Auburn in new top 3 (AL.com)
quote:

Mobile Christian defensive end Andres Fox has narrowed his list of contenders for the second time in two weeks.

After visiting Auburn over the weekend, Fox said Auburn, Auburn and LSU make up his top three.

"They are all great schools," said Fox, who is ranked as the nation's No. 38 weak-side defensive end in the 247Sports Composite.

At The Opening New Orleans regional camp March 19, Fox's top six schools included Auburn, Alabama, Florida, USC, Florida State and Georgia.

While at Auburn, Fox (6-foot-4, 235 pounds) enjoyed watching the team's second scrimmage. He said he has the "best bond" you can have with the Auburn staff, in particular defensive line coach Rodney Garner.

"I had a great experience with Coach G today," he said. "I loved it. The d-line was active. Coach G really pushed them hard.

"He's going to push you to be the best player you can be; and he loves you at the end of the day."

Fox helped lead Mobile Christian to the AHSAA Class 3A state championship game last year. He doesn't currently have a timetable for a decision.

Fox briefly touched on his three contenders, so check out what he had to say about each below.

AUBURN

"I have a long relationship with them and they were my first big offer. And they watched me play in the state championship."

ALABAMA

"Nick Saban, and all the great players that came through there."

LSU

"Pete Jenkins, I sat down and talked to him, and he showed me some stuff that could make me a real great player."

Scout examines the prospects invited to the Under Armour All-America Game, Future 50 and more from the Atlanta camp stop

UA All-America Game Invites

4* OG Trey Hill

Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County offensive lineman Trey Hill continued his dominant spring on the camp circuit with perhaps his best performance Sunday. Scout saw him lose just one rep throughout the bevy of one-on-one competition against a solid defensive line group, so it was little surprise to see the big man snag the game invitation. Hill is so strong once he gets his hands on the opponent and he ended most reps shortly after doing so, including multiple occasions in which he placed the pass rusher on the ground. There wasn't a more physical presence on the field at Northview High School. Hill holds a who's who list of offers, including perceived favorite Georgia, but doesn't appear close to a decision.

4* CB Jaycee Horn

With his father and former NFL standout Joe Horn watching, newly-minted Scout four-star Jaycee Horn must have made him proud with the way he handled himself both on the field during play and in between plays when he let his opponent know of the success he was having. A long and lean cornerback out of Alpharetta (Ga.), Horn showcased the ability to get his hands on the wide receiver and make plays on the football while maintaining his leverage just about every time he was out there. The rising senior, who holds more than 30 scholarship offers, was also impressive in his endurance, making plays on the football deep into the event when many of his counterparts elected to take the rest of the day off.

3* DE Jordan Davis (BAMA Commit)

An Alabama Crimson Tide verbal commitment since December, Jordan Davis was a constant on the edge for offensive linemen all day long. He beat some with speed and others with the ability to stick his foot in the dirt and come back underneath. The Memphis (Tenn.) Southwind star, who is still considering SEC programs despite his pledge to Nick Saban and company, won maybe the prettiest rep of any defender on the day with a strong spin move to come up underneath a blocker who over set on him in anticipation of his ability to speed rush. Upon receiving his invitation, Davis elected to participate in the next Under Armour All-America Game.

QB Bo Nix

Another week, another set of accolades for early Scout four-star quarterback Bo Nix. The Pinson (Ala.) Pinson Valley standout, who won positional MVP a week prior, was again the event's top passer despite being one of the younger competitors at the position. Nix has a calm about his game, which coupled with a strong arm and athleticism converts to consistency in this setting. He is on time, accurate and can change speeds on the football given the situation. The Auburn legacy visited campus over his spring break this past week along with stops at contenders Alabama, Georgia and Clemson.

4* OG Clay Webb

Oxford (Ala.) standout Clay Webb is another Alabamian having a dominant 2017 to this point and he gets some more hardware for his effort. The four-star anchors as well as any interior linemen in the region and seems immovable if he gets his hands on defenders early in their pass rush. Webb also has above-average feet and can flex his leverage laterally when lining up at different positions. In-state Alabama and Auburn will be tough to ignore in the end, he told Scout Sunday.

NR OT Pierce Quick

Pierce Quick may have taken the most reps on Sunday in order to earn his spot at the Future 50 event. The eager Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville standout excelled at offensive tackle with his length, measuring in at 6-foot-6 earlier in the day, and hands. He is a good athlete who can redirect against smaller defenders and he continues to improve his base power against bigger opponents. Quick has exploded on the recruiting scene with offers from all over the country, holding Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Oregon in high regard, among others.

Nix, Webb and Quick are all gonna be highly rated next year. As of now I think the main battle will be over Webb. Nix probably lands at AU and Quick seems like a good bet for Bama

Big Man Challenge Champion

4* DT Alfred Thomas

Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier four-star 2018 prospect Alfred Thomas held his own against a stout offensive line all afternoon long before showing he was one of the most athletic trench talents at the entire event in taking home the Big Man Challenge crown. Defeating many prospects much smaller than he, Thomas was quick in his cuts and efficient in his movement throughout the event. Earlier in the day he named Georgia his public leader.

Still think he lands at AU if we offer

4* WR Matthew Hill

Matthew Hill, another Peach State prospect, was the top offensive performer during the challenge. Following a solid showing at wide receiver, in which he high-pointed the football and hauled in contested passes, the four-star showed some endurance and long speed in punching his ticker to Under Armour's headquarters.

KN has article up on 4* DT Coynis Miller 3 day visit and sounds like it went real well for AU. He called it a "great experience". Sounds like Garner is the big draw right now for him. He really likes him and the way he coaches. Bowling Green was apparently his first offer and we were his second plus he's visited us the most. Right now says that AU, Bama, LSU & UF stand out. Visited Bama last Thursday after being in AU. Apparently Nick Saban is hard after him and tells him that he really needs DL. He won't commit till after senior season and plans to take his official visits. The big piece that I think is really good news is his top priority is a place with a "family atmosphere" and where he feels he fits in best. Ya'll know the conversion charts: "business decision" = Bama, "family atmosphere" = Auburn. Dude is a lock

Also article up on 3* DE Andres Fox. He has 3 clear leaders right now in AU, Bama & LSU. Unsure when he plans to commit but I know in past says he wants to do it before season. He really enjoyed watching the scrimmage specifically watching Garner coach. Says he gets after guys but at end of day love em. Says he's closest with our staff partially because we were his first big offer (we offered after seeing him in state title). Garner has told him he can play either Buck or SDE. KN asked him about his other leaders. Fox says that draw of Bama is Saban and all great players that have gone through program. As for LSU, sounds like he clicked well with DL coach Pete Jenkins. Plans to be back for A-Day this weekend.

It's hard for me to shake those comments he made after landing Bama offer. It sounds like we have done great job recruiting him and getting in early has helped a ton but I am still pessimistic about landing him

KN says 4* OL Dylan Wonnum might visit for A-Day. This is the guy Irvin says he's pushing hard to come to AU with him. They have known each other since middle school. His 247 profile says doesn't have AU offer but I suspect that might change if he visits

Also has update on 2019 4* OG/C Clay Webb. Webb says it will likely be AU or Bama for him. He is planning on being in attendance this Saturday for A-Day. Webb says that both teams are after him hard. He also said that he used to visit AU a bunch but now visits Bama more. He likes Hand a lot and says he reminds Webb of some of his former coaches. As for Bama says the big draw is fact they are powerhouse program and win championships. He claims he didn't grow up a fan of either team.

Long ways to go but I am not all that confident in Webb. Him and Quick are good buddies and Quick is basically a lock to Bama in my mind. Of the 3 top guys in AL next year though this guys will be the real battle imo

Texas Tech transfer Fehoko sets commitment date (247)
quote:

Texas Tech transfer Breiden Fehoko, a defensive tackle who started 25 games during his two seasons with the Red Raiders, has set his commitment date.

It will be April 17.

Fehoko has made official visits to Auburn, Louisville and LSU in the past month. He still has a visit remaining to Georgia in a couple weeks.

Fehoko recorded 38 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss and two sacks at Texas Tech. A native of Hawaii, he is 6-feet-3, 287 pounds and was an Under Armour All-American in high school.

Auburn has felt good about its chances with Fehoko but following his LSU official last weekend he told Geaux247 that was his best visit.

“(LSU’s) in a really good spot,” Fehoko said. “A really good spot.”

Fehoko will have to sit out the 2017 season. He then will have two years to play two seasons.

Not sounding good for us

Top Performers: Under Armour Atlanta (247)
quote:

ALPHA DOG

Trey Hill of Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County once again showed why he is the No. 40 overall recruit nationally in the industry generated 247Sports Composite — and is someone capable of moving up.

He’s a monster at offensive guard. At 6-feet-3.5, 346 pounds, Hill isn’t just an immovable force, he’s someone with great feet and terrific overall body quickness. After the snap, he’s almost instantaneously in position every time, and his punch comes fast and with power that you don’t see from linemen his age very often.

More often than not, the stone-faced Hill owned the competition Sunday in one-on-ones and more than once used his extreme strength to force the opposition into the turf. He didn’t just win reps, he owned them.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball gives Georgia a decided edge, but Clemson, Florida State and perhaps Auburn also are factors in his recruitment.

EYE-CATCHERS ON OFFENSE

-James Foster, QB, Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier: This might have been Foster’s best camp outing to date. While he’s still not completely quick and fluid with his feet, his arm was sharp. Foster spins it well and impressed with his velocity and placement. More than a few of his passes were thrown to where only the receiver could grab it.

Lanier has a few D1 guys and we haven't offered any of em for some reason. As I keep repeating tho I think that changes soon for Alfred Thomas

Matthew Hill, WR, Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood: Hills probably had the best natural hands of any receiver on hand. He also is blessed with terrific speed, which allows him to get the separation he needs, particularly on deeper routes.
