we really do suck arse at closing. Still can't believe Herb Hand took a nap.
Aside from this year, Auburn has (since about 2009 or so) always been one of the best closing schools, nationally. We have almost always landed a few big time guys on NSD. Obviously we have a ton more guys already locked up because of the early signing period.

So Fuqua and a secret leaves 2 of 4 ?

One of the biggest closes this year is fact we held on to Matthew Hill. Holding onto commitments doesn't have the same flash as landing a guy like Hill on NSD but don't think that should be overlooked. Clemson made a serious push & we were able to keep him locked in. Between him & Monday, AU had some decent wins against Clemson this past year which is a nice change

Word from AUTigers07 is the staff will hold a spot for a transfer, grad or undergrad, not counting Anderson.
That's interesting... My guess is they would target a DB

Elaborate please.

No. Please elaborate on your comment that the rest of the staff wasnt happy with HH. Not happy with his recruiting efforts or something else?

What is the plan for when Chandler Cox leaves? He's on the field all the time but I haven't seen us recruit for his replacement. Are we going to beef up the Sneker kid?

I think Chip Lindsey prefers TEs over FBs so I wouldn't be surprised if we phase that position out.

^ this
At Southern Miss & Arizona State he preferred to use a TE at that spot. Clemson has done something similar for the past few seasons. I think AU will still bring on PWO at the FB spot but not sure you will see us offer anymore there. Joiner will probably line up some at that spot as well in the coming years
That could all change if Lindsey leaves & Gus wants to go back to FB tho

Shenker was already 6 foot three and 245 pounds when he signed a year ago, which is bigger than Cox.
Thats not good news about Troxell, that was the second surgery to the same knee wasnt it? The two Princes and Ashley will definitely have to step it up.
On a positive note, werent some on here saying Brahms and Hamm were looking really good in bowl practice. Sounds like the interior line will be solid with those and Harrell, Horton.

Wolk just CB'd Johnson to AU & Tannor to NEB
UF could go 0/3 on Langham, Johnson & Tannor

so with 15 committed, we have verbals from
16. Schwartz
17. Joiner
18. McReary
19. M. Hill
20. Coynis Miller
21. Jibnour
22. Fuqua
23. Siposs
That leaves 2 spots. if you back out Siposs and Fuqua, that leaves 4 spots.
so final 4???
1. Caleb Johnson
2. ??
3. ??
4. ??
