Some CBs coming in for Tannor to UF. KN doesn't seem as confident in him landing with AU like he did earlier this week

I have no clue who we sign Wednesday
FWIW none of the CBs are coming from UF or Nebraska writers away from AU. Those are the ones to watch.

Welp KN just changed his to foggy. Sounds like early PT is a priority for Tannor and UF/NEB might have more appealing depth charts

This frees us up to sign Walker, Chase, Gouraige and Langham obviously

It's really weird. Seems like his HS coach keeps telling ppl it's down to BAMA/UGA/TEN yet AU still thinks they are in it & TEN insiders just last night said that they see AU as biggest threat

KN flat out said no one he talks to has any idea what Walker is thinking

5-star 2019 linebacker Owen Pappoe alters top 3 after Auburn junior day (SECCountry)
quote:

AUBURN, Ala. — Of the top prospects on campus Saturday, few were bigger than 5-star linebacker Owen Pappoe.

The No. 7 overall prospect in the nation entered the Auburn junior day with a top 3 — Georgia, Clemson and Nebraska. Pappoe had been to Auburn before for game days, but he’d never spent a full day on the Plains. For his first full experience on campus, Pappoe received a lot of 1-on-1 time with linebacker coach Travis Williams and Tigers linebacker Deshaun Davis.

After the visit, Pappoe decided to make a slight alteration to his top schools

“Auburn is most definitely in it now. After this visit, my head’s just spinning. Just getting to talk to the players, getting to talk to coach T-Will more in-depth out of any time I’ve visited Auburn,” Pappoe said. ” If I had to say three schools right now, I’d say Auburn, Georgia and Clemson.”

His top group isn’t the only difference.

Pappoe had been nearing a decision. He admitted after the Auburn junior day he’ll likely have to adjust when he makes his college choice. Pappoe still expects to choose before his senior season, but it won’t be immediately as he once thought. As he puts it, the decision isn’t “way down the road,” but he needed to “take a step back.”

That will benefit the Tigers.

Williams is a big reason for the adjusted timeline.

“It was the longest time I’ve been here. I spent a lot of time one-on-one with Coach T-Will. Even at a junior day with a bunch of people here, he still made enough time for me. That made a big impact,” Pappoe said.

The Tigers have only taken two pure linebackers in the 2018 class. That means Auburn expects a big haul in 2019. With current players such as Darrell Williams and Deshaun Davis on the way out after next season, Auburn will work to have one of its biggest classes yet at linebacker.

Pappoe acknowledged the depth-chart availability.

“By the time I’m signing they’re going to have five linebackers,” Pappoe said. “That’s big because I’m going to have the opportunity to come in, if I work hard and do whatever, I’m going to have the opportunity to play.”

KN said he thought Pappoe had left but he just showed up back at athletic complex to meet further with T-WILL. Really sounds like we have made a huge jump in his recruitment

Alabama commit takes 'dream' visit to Auburn (Rivals)
quote:

AUBURN | Brandon Turnage is committed to Alabama, but his recruitment is far from over.

Turnage, a four-star cornerback from Lafayette High in Oxford, Miss., visited Auburn on Saturday. It was a visit Turnage had been wanting to take.

“I loved it,” Turnage said. “I grew up an Auburn fan. It’s always been my dream to come here and visit.”

Turnage was one of approximately 70 recruits in Auburn for the Tigers’ first big Junior Day for the 2019 class. He spent a lot of time with new assistant Marcus Woodson.

“The coaching staff, you can tell it’s a bond here. It’s a family,” Turnage said. “I spent the most time with Coach Woodson. They see me at cornerback, and I like it.”

Woodson and Auburn visited Turnage three times during the January evaluation period. The attention from Auburn will result in another visit from Turnage.

“It means they actually want me to come play and give me an opportunity to make an impact,” Turnage said. “I’ll be back. I’ll probably be back in the spring.”

Turnage said he’s also considering Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, but the biggest threat to Alabama?

“Probably Auburn,” Turnage said.

Rivals ranks Turnage the No. 6 player in Mississippi and the No. 19 cornerback.

Auburn offers, impresses 4-star ATH (Rivals)
quote:

AUBURN | Raymond Woodie III already has one of the nation’s most impressive offer lists for a 2019 prospect but that didn’t stop the four-star athlete from being fired up over adding one from Auburn Saturday.

"That was really exciting because Auburn is a school I’ve followed since I was young so it was really good to get the offer,” said Woodie, who has over 30 offers from schools across the country.

Woodie, 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, was in Auburn for a Junior Day. He was able to tour the campus and athletic facilities and speak to the coaches including defensive coordinator Kevin Steele and secondary coach Greg Brown.

“It was really fun. I liked the facilities, the food was real good and all the coaches were nice. I liked it,” he said. “I think they’ve got a lot of experience and they recruit really well and they develop guys for the NFL. That’s something I like about the staff.”

Woodie, who recently moved to Florida State University School in Tallahassee, Fla, after his father was hired as FSU’s linebacker coach, lists Auburn among his early favorites along with Oregon, Arkansas, Cal and Notre Dame.

He plans to graduate school early and enroll at the school of his choice in January.

“Everybody is going to get an honest shot,” Woodie said. “I’ve got to be my own person at the end of the day. Whatever school feels the best is where I’m going to go to. Every school is 100 percent open for me.

“Probably playing time and relationship with the coaches will really play into it. I really like a family atmosphere too.”

KN says AU feels visit is going real well with Langham & his family. The question is whether or not it's enough to pass Bama. But AU feels like visit is going great

Not sure if that was Malik Langham or Richard Gouraige sitting next to Gus when they cut over. KN said at beginning of game Langham was sitting next to Gus with Gouraige behind him
