The Tide is the early leader, but Auburn is pushing for his top spot. Mwikuta will return to Auburn for the Iron Bowl.

George Pickens

The 2019 Auburn wide receiver commitment continues to receive interest from several schools, most notably Alabama, Florida State, Florida, Notre Dame, Miami, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

Pickens said he is “committed really strongly to Auburn, but those other teams still have a shot.” Pickens has attended games at Alabama and Florida State this season in addition to Auburn.

Ryland Goede

Goede spent time before the game with Chip Lindsey and Tim Horton. Lindsey expressed his high interest in Goede while Horton introduced the tight end to Bo Nix.

“Our families chatted for maybe 20 or 30 minutes,” Goede said. “Bo is a guy that I fit in well with. We have the same morals and I connected really well with him.”

Goede will visit Florida next weekend and return to Auburn for the Iron Bowl. Georgia and Michigan are the presumed favorites, but Goede said not to count out Auburn.

“This is almost home away from home for me because I’ve been here so much,” Goede said. “I feel comfortable with the coaching staff.”

Kight, one of the top in-state recruits in the 2019 class, spoke with Auburn offensive line coach Herb Hand before the game. The two have developed a good relationship.

Kight “probably” will be back in Auburn for the Iron Bowl.

Need this kid bad since Bama got Quick

Robby Ashford

Ashford is a Class of 2020 quarterback to keep an eye on in the future.

The Hoover sophomore visited Auburn on Saturday and already has four offers (Georgia, Missouri, Illinois and Jacksonville State) and interest from Auburn.

Ashford said Auburn has told him that they like everything about him, but want to see more of him before offering.

I say sign Tank -- can never have too many OL.
Plus -- how can you turn down a kid named Tank?

Sort of like a DL named Stump --- yep. I remember him

Auburn to host intriguing visitors list for Louisiana-Monroe; 2 coaches hit recruiting trail (SECCountry)
quote:

Consider this weekend a lookahead for Auburn recruiting.

After an eventful recruiting weekend against Georgia, it will be a much tamer day on the Plains versus Louisiana-Monroe. It’s an early game. It’s a lesser opponent. There won’t be the same level of recruiting buzz as a week ago. Much of Auburn’s emphasis will be on the Class of 2019, though there’s an intriguing Class of 2018 visitor (check the list below).

On top of that, two Auburn coaches will hit the road for high school games Friday night. Offensive line coach Herb Hand will be in Oxford, Ala., to see 5-star 2019 commit Clay Webb play his second-round playoff game against Muscle Shoals. Webb has visited Auburn frequently this season, and it’s bound to be an Iron Bowl recruiting battle for the top offensive guard.

Wide receiver coach Kodi Burns will be in the Atlanta area Friday night to watch Brookwood High and Matthew Hill take on Milton High in a second-round playoff game. Hill appears fully committed to Auburn, but he has visited Clemson this season. Clemson is recruiting him as a safety, while Auburn wants him as a wide receiver.

Here’s a deeper look at 10 intriguing prospects who will be at the Auburn game against Louisiana-Monroe. As always, more names will likely pop up over the course of game day.

The three commits — Asa Martin, Josh Marsh and Kolbi Fuqua: Martin, Marsh and Fuqua have been regulars at Auburn games this season. They’ll be expected to hold down the fort for any surprise recruits who may show up Saturday afternoon. It’s always possible that other commits will make late decisions to attend an Auburn game, so it’s not necessarily limited to just those three.

Unranked wide receiver Khmari Thompson: With Auburn’s wide receiver board so solid with Justyn Ross, Seth Williams, Anthony Schwartz and Marquez Ezzard, you might wonder why the lesser-known Thompson is visiting. For starters, he’s quarterback Jarren Williams’ top target at Central Gwinnett (Ga.). He picked football back up for his senior season and has an impressive highlight reel. Thompson has picked up offers from Kansas State, Missouri and Hawaii in short order. Auburn’s interest is unknown, but it’s certainly eye-catching with Williams officially visiting the following weekend.

Interesting.... Wonder if we gonna try & sell him on like a preferred walk on spot to try & help land Williams

The Troup County boys — King Mwikuta, Joko Willis, Kobe Hudson and Andy Boykin: All four of these guys have been at Auburn often in 2017. Mwikuta is a 4-star 2019 linebacker. Willis is a 3-star 2019 linebacker. Hudson is a 4-star 2020 wide receiver. Boykin is an unranked (for now) 2020 defensive end. It wouldn’t surprise me to see any or all of the four end up at Auburn. Boykin has been a regular this season at Auburn home games.

That team is loaded. I think Hudson might end up the best of the bunch

4-star 2019 offensive lineman Darius Thomas: Auburn offered the 6-foot-6, 310-pound offensive tackle from Jonesboro, Ark., in March when Thomas was on a visit. He’ll be back for his first Auburn game of the season. Thomas has to be considered one of Auburn’s top offensive line targets in the 2019 class, a group that includes Clay Webb and Amari Kight.

Good news is there is a lot of OT talent in the 2019 class. Thomas, Amari Kight, Howard Allen, Harry Miller, Michael Tarquin & Carter Colquitt are some that come to mind off the top of my head. Might be why AU loads up at OG this cycle & then load up at OT in 2019 class

4-star 2019 linebacker Jalen Sims: Sims camped with Auburn over the summer and the coaches loved him. He’s one of the only 2019 prospects on whom I’ve placed a Crystal Ball for Auburn. Sims has been at almost the entire fall slate of games for the Tigers. This is certainly a name for Auburn fans to know in the future.

Dude loves AU. Would love to get him on board early. Solid player, reminds me some of KJ Britt

KN put up a recruiting insider with some interesting notes

- KN had the same coach visiting notes as Wolk except also added the Kodi Burns is also gonna check in on recent FSU decommit 4* WR Marquez Ezzard. He was a top target over the summer but both us & him cooled on each other. He's reopened his commitment & might take a visit. FWIW Rusty thinks Miami or Oregon is the landing spot. Something to keep an eye on tho

- 3* Jerome Carvin is officially visiting for Iron Bowl. Lots of questions around whether he's a guard or a tackle at next level. Turns out AU likes him at tackle & he's high up on our board. Mississippi State is thought to be the favorite but AU doesn't think his recruitment is over. Apparently he talks to Herb Hand every other day. Plans to have a decision next month. He's an EE & wants to commit first week of December & enroll on December 20th

- KN says there will be 5-6 official visits for Iron Bowl with 2 of the biggest being 4* QB Jarren Williams & 4* CB Saivion Smith. KN says although Miami is trending AU is still very much in the race & it's expected it will come down to those 2 schools. Smith is leaning Bama right now but AU is still in the race & early PT could be a sell with Carlton Davis probably heading to NFL after the season. KN says AU would like to sign 2 more CBs if possible

- One source seems to imply that 3* DE Andres Fox has silently committed to AU & our side feels pretty confident about landing him. However it's far from over & Fox plans to use official visits to AU, Bama, LSU & STAN. Bama also likes where they stand as well. Complete opinion on my part but I wonder if he's silently committed to both teams to preserve a spot

- Contact period starts November 26th. If AU loses Iron Bowl expect coaches to hit recruiting trail hard to visit prospects. If AU wins then probably will delay a week as staff prepares for SEC Championship. That would obviously be a good inconvenience

- AU still thinks they will hold onto 4* S Quindarious Monday. He's planning on visiting for the Iron Bowl

- Also Jamien Sherwood is taking an interesting OV this weekend. He's going to Tennessee. KN says AU staff feels good about Sherwood & belief is as long as staff stays in tact Sherwood sticks with Tigers

FWIW here's Parker's senior highlights

Love his size and he's got good hands. Doesn't break a ton of tackles or wow you with anything. Honestly reminds me a bit of Jalen Harris coming out of high school so perfect fit I guess
