Well ... as of now, it sounds like no public commitments today.

But again, I am told the Tigers are very pleased with how things have gone today.

Let's see if anything changes.

Caleb Tannor, Michael Harris, Quindarious Monday and Jamien Sherwood are all spending the night. Sherwood is planning on making a commitment video and putting it out early August. Sounds like AU in good spot. Tannor is announcing Monday

Sure but that's 5 Bama players to 1. St Paul's is not AU friendly. I grew up in Mobile and can tell you that from first hand experience

We have any shot at Tannor or is he all UGA? Any clue who is higher on our board between him and Fox?

Sounds like we do. Claims he hasn't made up mind yet. Fact we are last visit could really help

No idea. Could be a 1A/1B type of thing. I personally think Tannor is the better player right now but I would love to have either if not both. Need one of the two for sure

(1:37 p.m.) | Auburn’s former director of player personnel Patrick Suddes — now assistant athletic director for football — just sent out an interesting tweet. He has a track record of sending cryptic tweets when a commitment comes, so I think there’s probably some good news there. Larry Porter sent out one too.

(1:46 p.m.) | Derek Turner just left, but no commitment. He expects to announce his decision in the next month or so. It’ll come down to Auburn, Ole Miss or South Carolina. He named Auburn his leader, and reminder, I put in a Crystal Ball for him to Auburn earlier in the day.

(2:10 p.m.) | Troup County underclassmen King Mwikuta (2019 DE) and Kobe Hudson (2020 WR) left. Mwikuta said Alabama remains his leader, and I think the Crimson Tide will be tough to top. But Mwikuta admitted the 2017 season could boost Auburn big-time. Hudson has an offer and his recruitment is wide open.

(2:15 p.m.) | Quay Walker didn’t want to speak after his visit, but he did let us take photos — in full Auburn gear. He confirmed he’ll be back for Auburn games this fall. I really wouldn’t rule Auburn out of this one, especially with a strong 2017 season.

(2:27 p.m.) | Michael Harris and Caleb Tannor are going to stay overnight, so we’ll likely get a chance to talk with them Sunday afternoon. With Harris, I think he’s all Auburn. As for Tannor, he’s certainly been enjoying himself around the complex today and has been having some fun with Larry Porter.

(2:36 p.m.) | Auburn defensive line commit Daquan Newkirk is getting recruited some by Georgia and may visit, but he’s firmly committed. He plans to make it to as many Auburn home games as possible this fall, including an official visit for the Iron Bowl. Rodney Garner is working to get him down to 280 pounds.

(2:58 p.m.) | Caleb Tannor will stay overnight and make his college announcement Monday. Georgia has been the popular pick lately, but the fact he wanted one last visit to Auburn — and the Tigers absolutely want him — has to be a great sign.

(3:25 p.m.) | Dameon Pierce was all smiles when he left. Pierce and his mother both really enjoyed the day. He is really bouncing back and forth between Georgia, Florida and Auburn. He won’t make his decision until after the season, however, and he understands that one or more of those schools may fill up running back spots, but he doesn’t seem to be in a rush. I’ve had Pierce in my last two class projections, and my confidence is even higher after this most recent visit.

(3:28 p.m.) | Quindarious Monday brought about 10 friends and family members on this trip, his first since committing. His stance on Auburn hasn’t changed, aside from the fact he’s transitioned into a recruiter’s role. Monday mentioned Justin Fields and Kearis Jackson as guys he’s trying to convince to join the class. He tried with Marquez Ezzard, as well, but the wide receiver chose Florida State on Friday.

(3:43 p.m.) | Seth Williams and his parents just left. He’s pretty satisfied with everything he’s hearing from Auburn. He said they “keep it real” more than any other schools. Auburn, Alabama and Ole Miss are recruiting him the hardest, he said, but there’s no timeline in place.

UF insider just CB'd Fields to FSU. All the 247 chatter seems to be UGA/FSU battle. These AU "insiders" saying it's a done deal to AU are gonna be put to the test

If I could only have 2 of the 3 I prefer Tannor & Jibunor. Tannor likely ends up at SDE with his size & I love Jubinor as a Buck. Fox has motor issues.

They've never said nor implied done deal at all. They are confident but have always said no matter how confident they are we won't get him if we don't win big on the field this season.

Recruiting insider: Auburn closing in on several commitments in 2018 class (SECCountry)
quote:

AUBURN, Ala. — Much like Big Cat Weekend, Auburn didn’t end the day with any public commitments, but the general sentiment was that it was a successful event.

The Tigers hosted some of their top uncommitted targets, as well as a few players committed to Auburn and other schools. Check out the running live updates from the entire day.

SEC Country spoke with a few of the Tigers’ top targets in the 2018 and 2019 classes who attended the event. Here’s the latest intel on them.

4-star RB Dameon Pierce, Bainbridge (Ga.)

- This was Pierce’s second visit to Auburn, both coming after his de-commitment from Alabama.
- He visited with his mother who he said hasn’t taken a visit outside the state of Georgia. She loved it, and he said that will help Auburn big-time with his decision.
As for that decision, it won’t come until after the season and could run up to National Signing Day.
- Pierce has Auburn, Georgia and Florida in his top group. LSU could work its way in there, too, after he visits Baton Rouge. Those are the four schools likely to get official visits, which he will take after the season.
- He already plans to make it to Auburn for the Iron Bowl, but it’s possible that isn’t his only visit.
- What separates the Tigers? “As soon as you walk in, you’ve got someone greeting you at the car basically. You can’t beat that. It feels like you’re already at home. It’s a home away from home.”

4-star DE Caleb Tannor, Miller Grove (Ga.)

- Tannor will announce his decision Monday on Twitter. It’s down to Georgia and Auburn.
- Before he makes that choice, he will spend the night in Auburn along with fellow Tigers target Michael Harris who he is close with.
- Tannor made this visit with his mother, his two brothers and his younger sister.
Georgia projects Tannor as an outside linebacker similar to Lorenzo Carter. Auburn sees him as a Buck edge rusher.
- A big portion of his visit involved talking with Auburn coaches about how they expect to use him in the defensive scheme.
- How close is the race? “Great facilities, great coaches. It’s a real good connection. It feels just like Georgia, and that’s what’s making that race so close. Great coaching. Both of them are providing the same things for me, so we’re just gonna have to see.”
- He said he doesn’t know his choice yet. He’ll go to church Sunday and hope to get a better idea.
- Regardless, Tannor said he’ll likely visit both programs this fall.

3-star CB Derek Turner, West Feliciana (La.)

- Turner shined at Auburn’s camp on Friday and stayed overnight for the early portion of the cookout Saturday.
- Auburn projects Turner as a cornerback rather than a safety, as he’s listed by several sites. He likely will fit into the star position with his ability to run really, really fast along with his hard-hitting ability.
- Turner said Auburn is his top school with Ole Miss and South Carolina chasing.
- Greg Brown began recruiting Turner immediately after he took the job, and Turner said the offer from Brown was his first. That means a lot to him.
- Expect a decision by the end of July or in early August.

Sounds like if we want him, we will get him. Curious to see if we would take him this early
