Get to know: Auburn linebacker signee Kenney Britt (247)

He’s not particularly tall, but at 6-foot, 232 pounds Britt is built like a rock and plays with great intensity and physicality. He was among the top performers in December’s Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game and was a standout during his entire high school career. He also excelled in the classroom.
Will they play in 2017? Auburn returns its primary playmakers at linebacker from 2016, but Britt has the mindset he will play this fall. Apparently, he impressed his coaches and teammates in bowl practices in December. If he progresses in the spring and preseason camp, Britt very well could see at least some action in 2017.

Get to know: Auburn tight end signee Salvatore Cannella (247)

Will they play in 2017? Auburn had just one scholarship tight end before Cannella arrived in January, so the need definitely was there. He’s a true pass-catcher with a big frame and long arms. He has a great catch radius, solid route running ability and excellent hands, he could play a prominent role next season. He, in turn, might help the running game as defenses account for him as a receiver.

Get to know: Auburn quarterback signee Malik Willis (247)

He completed 184 of 304 passes for 2,562 yards, 27 touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season. He added 1,033 rushing yards on 140 carries. He flipped to Auburn from Virginia Tech in December.
Will they play in 2017? It seems unlikely Willis will play next season because Auburn has numerous guys returning at quarterback, including Sean White. Plus, the Tigers added transfer Jarrett Stidham. The plan is to develop Willis to the point where he would be ready to compete for the job in two to three seasons.

After a strong senior season, he was named county defensive player of the year in an ultra-competitive area. Additionally, Wooten was an Under Armour All-American.
Will they play in 2017? Auburn returns an awful lot of linebackers and brings in other more highly rated backers in the 2017 class, but do not count Wooten out for 2017. An early enrollee, he’ll take part in spring practice. Because of his versatility, the Tigers can line him up in various spots, from inside to the buck — and that might give him an opening to play early.

It's a solid not elite class. What hurts more is UGA & Bama cleaned up on the trail. We hit on our must haves but not much else after that. Probably land just outside the top 10

Will they play in 2017? Ashley’s college-ready frame gives him an opportunity to compete for a job immediately on Auburn’s offensive line, which must replace two starters. He projects as a tackle, and the Tigers have an opening on the right side and could have another on the left if Darius James moves inside to guard.

What you need to know: Shenker was offered a scholarship last week by offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey — just two days after the Tigers hired Lindsey. As senior, he caught 30 passes for 451 yards and two touchdowns. He played for well-known coach Rush Propst in high school. Propst said Shenker reminds him of Philip Lutzenkirchen, the former Auburn great.
Will they play in 2017? Auburn has only one scholarship tight end (Jalen Harris) back but two tight ends in the class. Shenker, however, is the only one of the three who won’t be at Auburn for spring practice. He’ll need to shine in fall camp — and get physically stronger — to have a shot to play this fall. But because of the fact he can line up in different spots, we wouldn’t definitively say he’ll redshirt.
