We really need some edge rushers in this class. Not sure why we are going for all these tweener guys. But at least we have some DL depth now, so hard to really complain.

Hoping we land Markaviest Bryant to solve that but the good news is Wooten and Moultry can both play that Buck spot. I think Moultry could help us day 1 there with his quckness

I wish we could get an elite DT like 5* Aubrey Solomon or elite S in 4* Devon Hunter or 4* Tray Bishop. Any of those 3 makes this an elite class to me. Without them though it's still a really good one

Guess you missed where I said "other than QB, OT, and some linebackers".

And Askew isn't a backup plan, neither was Broussard last year. Doesn't mean either are worth their rank yet.

Where's the backup plan? What position of need you think we have filled with a backup?

He thinks everybody is a backup plan. If the player isn't in the top 25 in the country, he's backup plan.

Just spoke to 5-star DT Aubrey Solomon. Auburn trending up ... but Bama is the leader. And, he told me, the lead is "huge" right now.

Will OV to Auburn on Jan. 20/

If we have a huge NSD it's gonna because of January 20th official visits. Hopefully bball team has good day against Bama so the Arena is rocking

So what position then is one of need? I think those 3 are our biggest needs. So ya if you throw out the best of our class then it's not good

Average rating is going down from last year.

It's about on par with Gus' other classes.

A real disaster if you ask me

Great. So missing on all of our top priorities is okay because they really wasn't even a position of need.

It's middle of the road as far as average rating and our two lowest are a LS and a damn good kicker.

Take those two out and you have a avg rating of 90.2.

Compare that to last year (pretty elite class) 90.7.

You never answered my question. What position specifically is a position of need that we are taking a backup plan?

Also "all our top priorities" like Jarrett Stidham, Devan Barrett, Calvin Ashley, Austin Troxell, Tadarrian Moultry, KJ Britt, Malcolm Askew and Alaric Williams. Like I said we are gonna miss on guys. That's just the nature of the beast in recruiting but it's dumb to call this class pathetic

If a backup plan is needed, then it's a need. Example: If QB wasn't a need, Gus wouldn't have offered Malik which was a Stretch.

OL is a need: hence Jordan Tucker will probably commit.
Safety is a need and Deangelo our top prospect committed to UGA.

wow well if that's the way your mind works then it's clear no class will make you happy and this argument was pointless

Only comment so far that I would agree with in that S is a need and if we miss on both Hunter and Bishop to go with Avery and Gibbs that would be a disappointment.

Not gonna derail this any further because I can't at all agree with your logic so just have to leave it as agree to disagree.

The only thing that is pointless around here is trying to convey to a bunch of mouthbreathers that a backup plan isn't needed if the position isn't a need.
