I'm not trying to say just caring improves your score but if you go from not giving a shite to giving a shite your scores will improve.
But obviously you are trying to well and I hope you get in.

Do prep classes really help?
Prep classes do help you become familiar with the tests and the various questions on the tests, but the main asset is the practice tests. By taking so many practice tests, the anxiety of the real test is replaced with confidence because the real one is merely just another test with similar questions. By that method, five or six point jumps are achievable. Sadly, I only used a free class in high school that started every morning at 6 am for like three weeks or so.
With that said, the ACT is used worldwide because it shows an accurate and comprehensiverepresentation of the student's intellectual capabilities as a whole. And because of that, you either have the intellect and reasoning to do well or you don't. Prep classes are not going to make a 15 point difference between tests. If that was the case, the ACT would be an invalid indicator of our scholastic abilities on the next level.

Pearl wants more neutral site games in Bham... but the Owners of the BJCC are reluctant (pearl wanted to make this years Bama/Oregon game a double header).
BP hinted that it may be political.
He also said he wouldn't be scheduling anything in Huntsville... which I know we've done in the past.

That'd be a good idea for a OOC game or two a year. There's just a lot of b'ham folks that wont (rightfully so) travel 2 hours for a basketball game just yet.

Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, and UAB were all at Spain Park the other night watching Wiley, Alex Reese, and Jamal Johnson.
Solid chance Reese flips to Bama

This is the kid from Pelham, right?... Interested to see how vandy does this year... if stallings doesn't meet expectations, he could be out. 2012 was a while ago, and even then the tourney was a bust.

Yep, I saw it wrong. No way in hell a school got him a 11 point jump.
You realize Hargrave is a military school right?
No going out. No partying. No distractions.
For an entire senior year.
Now I'm not saying I have any idea how his score jumped that much but, if anything could do it, the motivation of military discipline and solitude could.

This is technically the wrong thread for this but who is Reese committed to now?

I have a couple of buddies at Marion Military Institute and they drink like sailors. And I am a vet myself. I remember the times I showed up to first formation still drunk from the night before. I think you give our fine men a little too much credit if you know what I mean.

As far as I've heard, Hargrave isn't like that. It sure isn't if what Onterio McCalebb said is true about his time there.
Plus, (1) Hargrave is affiliated with the Baptist Church, and (2) Hargrave is in Chatham VA. Population Chatham? 1338.
And, personally, I think you are taking a singular personal experience and making a broad generalization out of it.

I don't know, Beatbammer. He might have went to a "Major Payne" type school; Virginia is big on ROTC after all. But my whole family is former military as I am myself. If you have to be told to wear a yellow PT belt or you will die, you are probably going to get shitfaced that night.

Didn't we play western Kentucky in Huntsville a couple years ago?... Jeff lebo was the coach.
I know we've done it in the past and is nice for the N AL fans who can't make the trip down... and wouldn't be a bad trip for Nashville people, provided the opponent is decent.

I don't recall playing WKU there but you're absolutely right in the fact that it gives the north Alabama fans a chance to see the team. It's hard for many to make a 3 hour trip for a game that lasts an hour and a half
