It just seems to me that if he posts decent grades come December 15th, then he should be eligible to play then. Of course, there could be red tape I'm unaware of.

Just the messenger. JGT said the NCAA did the same thing w/ Delph in a similar situation.

Let's be honest, if he went from 12-23, then he probably cheated the second time.
12 is lower than juco college dumb.

In fairness to DP he went to Hargrave his senior year to heavily prep for the ACT. Also FWIW MM says DP is on pace to have good grades this semester.

I don't know E.

People pay thousands of dollars for personal tutoring in hopes for a 6 point jump. Granted, the lower the score is, the easier it is to do higher the next time, but a nine point jump completely annihilates the law of average. It is not surprising his score was flagged.

Yep, I saw it wrong. No way in hell a school got him a 11 point jump.

If what JamalSanders is saying on the previous page is true about his bro not caring & got an 11 but took it again caring & got a 26 then yes it is possible, especially if DP did not care the first time.

I know for a fact that score got flagged so I want to know what his brother had to do about it.

lol. I was not arguing if Dps score was flagged. It's a given it was flagged. All I was doing was repeating Sanders story from a page back where Sander's brother got an 11 when he didn't care to a 26 when he did to show it is at least possible that DP got a 12 by not caring then upped it to 23 with a year of ACT schooling and caring about the score.

I'm not proud of it but I flunked many test in school that I could have done well if I cared.

E, I'm saying that I know for a fact that his brother's ACT got flagged if it jumped from 11 to 26. So did he have to retake the test or was his score canceled or what?

And I wish it was possible to "care" and get 11 point jumps. I made a 156 on my LSAT in October. So, maybe I can get a 170 in February if I care harder!

FWIW JGT thinks that w/ good grades this semester the NCAA will let DP be a practice player the rest of the year.

Wtf.

I think he's saying that DP will be a practice player for the remainder of 2015, and come 2016, we can begin thinking about seeing him on the court.

I was hoping he'd be back for Xavier...

If you didn't study the first time and took the test as quickly as possible and got a 156, it is entirely plausible that if you "care" and study and actually work your way through the test you can get that jump.

Quit being a dick because you got into a shitty law school.

FWIW, his score did get flagged. He had to meet with a board and write a letter basically explaining he thought that the test would be easy enough that he didn't have to try to get the score he needed.

I call bullshite. You have to be borderline retarded to make an 11 on an ACT. I can go in with a fricking hangover and make atleast a 24. There is no way you could just "care" and jump 15 points. According to the ACT, the average jump is less than 2 points!!

And 156 isn't a bad LSAT score, and I only care to get into Bama, so you can kindly off yourself.

LINK

For whatever reason, I expected at least a few of you to have atleast taken the ACT twice before going to Auburn. I don't mind being considered the dick for using common sense but please click the link to find the normal jump for an ACT test score with an initial 11. And notice 11 is the minimum...

I don't care what you call. I posted that as a real life example. And average is just that.

I know a 156 is decent. But unless you have outstanding grades a 156 won't automatically get you into bama.

The average jump is just that. The average. Outliers exist everywhere.

My grades are definitely good enough to get in right now but I'm still going for higher for just in case. Plus, the numbers of people attending law school have fallen so now is the time to apply, questionable grades or not.

But to go further with this "care and you will do well," I am now taking testmasters, which is a 1400 dollar prep class, and 7sage, an Internet class, and my practice tests are still only hitting 159-160 tops. And it's that way with 99.999999 percent of the people. When you say just "care" I could wring your neck out.

Do prep classes really help? Seems like it would just add a lot of unnecessary pressure. I only took it once, didn't study at all and might have been slightly hungover but still made a 26. I think not "caring" probably helped me. I've got a daughter in her Fr year of HS so I've to start making those decisions in a few years.
