When did the Braves and WSB part ways?

I was running some errands last night and since it was 45-0 anyway, for old times sake I turned to WSB AM 750,which comes in pretty clear where I live at night. Talk show. And, a bad one at that.

I always thought the Braves and WSB were like peanut butter and jelly? When did WSB lose the Braves?

680 has been the home of the Braves since... probably even before 2004. I'd imagine it was roughly 2002.

680 was also the home of the Thrashers. Atlanta Spirit should forever be barred from the city for letting a 9 year old franchise, in a top-10 market, with northern transplants, that's projected to continue to outpace population growth over most major DMAs... leave the city...

WSB/750 (AM): 1966–1991, 1995–2004
WGST/640: 1992–1994, 2005–2009
WNNX (FM): 2010–2013, 2019–present
WCNN/680: 2010–present
WYAY (FM) : 2014–2019
